The tailback at West Monroe is committed to Tennessee and Etienne is much better.

Jennings plays 3-4 teams a year that can beat them (in the regular season anyway).. Everyone else are pretty much rollovers where Etienne can put up big numbers. How he plays in those games are pretty telling on how good he is, when he still puts up good stats.

I've seen him play against Lake Arthur and Iota among others.. Those boys can't play with Travis.

They play some important games for them coming up in district play.

and they played South Beauregard this past week. Travis looked pretty good then as well. He is the real deal, a smart kid, and a very respectful kid! LSU needs to recruit him NOW!

Yes not the greatest competition in the world, plus they have a horrible defense so they can rarely blow people out.

Anyone have his stats for this season?

As has been stated on here time and time again. LSU is looking for that big back that can pound it not the speedy shifty back that they have currently committed in Clyde Edwards-Helaire. No doubt the kid has skills but we NEED that big pounding back in this class.

Travis gets much press for his speed that helps him on the outside. However, he goes up the middle on a regular basis during the game, and he drives the pile, often 5 to 7 yards. Travis doesn't get enough credit for being a pile driver. I've seen him play several times over the last two years.

Now, at 5'11" weighing in at 199 may not seem overly large, but right now Eddie Lacy, another Louisiana product, is 5'11" and weighing in at 234, and he has been a pile driver for the Packers until his recent injury.

Just saying, don't count out Etienne based just on his speed.

But that was when Les was the man in charge. Could that not maybe change with new wants from a head coach???

Eddie Lacy NFL Profile

Oh, I definitely think Eddie Lacy weighs more than 234, but the link to his NFL profile says 234.

I'm going to disagree with you here. He is considered a "pile driver" because he's the biggest guy on the field for most of his games. I don't see him moving piles in the SEC.

He's a great running back, but I just don't see him being a power guy that's going to pound you at the next level.
