Was watching some video on him just now and he seems to move pretty well and hit hard on both defense and offense. What's the plan for him? It looked like Canada likes to use FB's in his offense.

best outcome would be that Canada won't use FB's much in his offense and Carter would have the speed to play ILB for LSU along with occasional FB duties at some point. Or maybe Canada will find some ways to use him on offense and that he could be more than just a traditional I formation lead blocker.

This is what I have been hoping all along--that Carter would be given a chance to move to LB.

He could be more valuable to the team at that position, especially if the current LB recruiting does not yield positive results.
