Two of those guys are freshman, and one is in our rotation. I could see the other one leaving.

Robinson should be much better next season. How far we go will depend greatly on his development.

I want him to improve massively like Quarterman did, he was very highly rated like Quarterman.

TQ was in the 80s or so. Elbert was floating 45-55. He has a high ceiling.

e don't even need him to score, just not be goofy on the offensive end and shut down the pain defensively - AND rebound...he's so bad at letting guys outplay him for rebounds.
And poor Bridgewater is just flat useless down low against SEC teams, I was afraid of that. He needs to develop a jumper, and quick.

I know you're not big on Lott coach, but all I've seen is junior year footage and I love the potential he could possibly bring if you mesh him with the talent of next year's class. Just imagine this kid being even higher than he is right now and I think he will be. And even if he isn't higher as a senior he definitely will be when he gets in a college strength and conditioning program. With all the skill we'll have on the perimeter, another slasher with that kind of finishing ability at the one would make us nasty as hell.

Looks like Brandon Sampson might be leaning to St.Johns now. Jerry Meyer just CB'd him to the Johnnys.
In other news, the third part of Antonio Blakeney's Be Great documentary series comes out on Youtube tonight. If you haven't watched it, please do. It really shows that Antonio is one of the highest character kids in the entire class and undoubtedly the hardest working Bball recruit in the nation. He and Ben are going to completely change our program.

No doubt about it. And if we can get Jaquan, that would give us another guy on the perimeter that can get his own shot. The only question about Lyle is do you put him at the point or at the three and start Gray? I could easily see next year's starting lineup being Lyle, Tone, Hornsby, Benny and Mickey. Gray didn't come here to come off the bench but he may be playing his way into that scenario.

If I was I would make my lineup game by game to see who starts. Josh gray played lights out for most of the first half, after that he was ok for the second half. Last few games he was pretty bad. If he's having those types of games start Lyle if he's playing good bring Lyle off the bench

Yeah it's way too early to give up on Gray. If he can play like he did in the first half against UGA more consistently he's easily staying at starting PG.
Next season with Gray, Hornsby, Quarterman, Patterson, Blakeney and Lyle we will have an amazing back court.

When is Lyle committing or signing. Other than the friendship connection with Tone I haven't heard much about him coming to LSU.
Is this just an fan assumption because of the AB connection or did he visit and we are recruiting him heavily?

He visited at the same time as Ben and Tone. He was on campus for the Bama game.

And Patrick visited him this weekend
I dont see a reason he wouldn't come here, maybe he's already committed and we're waiting to spread out the love a little bit.

Brandon Sampson committed to St Johns per his coach.

Wanted major playing time early, and he couldn't get that at LSU as a freshman. Sad, because he's a good player but LSU will be fine.

I am huge on Lott as a person. Everyone knows his development has been limited lately. Whether it be due to his HS coach who uses him in the post, his injuries, or just a plateau on talent... I am not sure. He works hard and is as good of a kid as you could want. Athleticism, strength, etc. is top notch but the skills with it haven't been. He's 6'3 at best and can't handle or shoot it. That's not what LSU is looking for these days. If he came in, it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all but at this point, he isn't HM.

I don't think he ever really looked at us very hard.
Seems like he spent way more time out west and talking about other schools. Getting Blakeney was probably icing on the cake.

I know HS coaches want to win games first and foremost, but developing players for the next level, when they have next level talent should be a priority as well.
Playing a 6'3" kid with ability to play guard at the next level in the post his whole career is not helping him at all.
