I live in Benton and one of my good friends is a haughton coach and takes dak to most camps etc. i talked to a benton fb player at the gym and he said TK is taking a track scholarship to lsu and not fb. sounded retarded to me but he said he would play fb but wanted to focus on track. he also said he was a punk and thought the coach would never kick him off the team. well he did. i hope he gets act together and is a beast for us. Dak as of yesterday has TCU, LSU, MSU, all on him and heard he may be getting bama offer. Everyone is pulling even with msu at this point but it should bea 2 horse race.

If he plays football, it doesn't matter what other sports he plays, it's a football scholarship

That's because it is. If he plays football, it's a football scholarship, no matter what other sports he plays

He can take a track scholarship his first year then join the team next year with a football scholly. But yeah as soon as he joins the football team it has to be a football scholarship.

It would be like a paid grayshirt for the first year, then he gets a full FB Scollie, next year. It would help with numbers!!!

Exactly. We still get him without losing a scholly for this year, because he won't be seeing the field next year anyways. It will give him time to get himself straight and get in a groove with college life- and hang out with a better crowd.

And if he screws up, it's not wasted.

Not 100% sure. But I'm pretty positive.

Once an athlete accepts a scholarship offer for a sport other then Football, he can NEVER be on a football scholarship for the rest of his eligibility. He can be on the football team as a walk-on. But ineligible for a scholarship.

Sad day

However, with all the new LBers that have come into the picture, maybe one of them can ease the pain

Point is, he'll be able to play football, whether he's on the track team or not.

You do realize that he still counts towards the 85 right?

Nevermind I see the board has already told you how retarded that post was.
