. He also likes the stability of our coaching staff.

Definetly. The cons of a first year coach changing everything are huge. Not to mention, Muschamp's defenses at Texas were torched regularly. He road Saban's coattails from Baton Rouge to Gainsville.

As far as the announcing at school issue, I don't like it. He could have announced on ESPN, he's that highly ranked. Then again, just because he is announcing at the school doesn't mean they are FSU fans. They could be Gator fans, too, like him.

Yeah, that was my point earlier. He is only 38 miles from Jortville. Many are likely Gator fans and COULD be pissed if he chose FSU. I am going with the Tigers as my prediction and FREAK lets him wear #8.

Montgomery was at an ESPN studio

makes sense, ESPNU is located about two and a half hours from Montgomery's hometown.

I read the article as if Timmy was all FSU, and nothing in that article would have change my opinion, if FSU really was his decision.

It just makes LSU sound like a close #2, and I would expect a Dad to say nice things about a 2nd place team that showed him & his son a lot of positives after a great trip to the Bama-LSU game.

it was also written by an LSU site, so it's gonna be more ab LSU and not give the whole picture

"LSU's very much in it" doesn't mean LSU isn't 2nd place.

"Florida's out" doesn't mean FSU isn't #1.

"Haley's been great" doesn't mean that FSU's staff hasn't done a greater job with the sales pitch.

"The Bama game made a big impression". Tell us something we didn't already know.

"LSU is one of the schools that hasn't had a lot of (coaching) changes." Neither has FSU.

"He likes the idea of playing in a split 40 scheme". FSU also plays a 4-3 base, and led the country in sacks.

Janzen Jackson committed in the coaches office the day after signing day.

There were no students present as I recall.
He may have committed ahead of time, but he and his father announced in a press conference to the rest of the world. I remember watching him in one of those God awful polo shirts with the oversized polo man.

He dosen't strike me as that type of kid. He hasn't been a showboat and so far has been straight up with his recruitement.
