I constantly here people on here saying that he loves bama and that he's a bama lean, I'm curious on where you guys got this info from? Did he say bama was his leader? Today he got a crystal ball to bama, it would be a shame to lose another 5 star OT to Bama. If he iss bama lean do you guys think we can make be still snag him? I hope jeff grimes and frank wilson are his recruiters

hudl

Lets also see if we can keep it to one thread per player although i know this is not going to happen

I think it's safe to say Grimes is one of Allen's recruiters.

So we are likely to lose 3/5 top Louisiana players and 2 of them to Bama? That's rough. We might can overcome that for the most part, but that could easily be the difference between being the best and the 2nd or 3rd best.

Nobody on this site knows anything. People will see a poster say something and they just repeat what they see on this site. Don't listen to anyone.

I think some people here know. They're just really discrete about it.

I'm just generally speaking. Some do, but many people just spew nonsense.

Just my opinion but I don't think he is a 5 star at all...him going to JC and favoring Bama helps a lot with that rating.

Someone should keep a tab on how many Willie Allen threads are started over the next 12 months. It's going to be a lot. I'll set the over-under at. . . 15.

He isn't a Bama lean. Bama and LSU are in his top two though. Anyone who knows Willie knows he is the nicest kid you'll ever meet. I don't think he would lead on a school just to troll them. Even if he picks Bama, I can assure you it wasn't because he disliked LSU.

Yes he is a Bama lean. A heavy one. Doesn't mean it's over and he is listening and warming up to LSU but we trail pretty significantly at the moment. Gonna have to hope this one goes all the way to signing day or hope somehow Bama messes it up.

Reasons for the lead that I've gathered
Bama is selling their draft history
Bama is selling the Cam Robinson angle. Basically one year learning and then take over
Lots of Bama influence in the decision making group
Not a native Louisianan with no real allegience to LSU or the state.
Quite frankly, Saban and Cristobal are kicking our arse just like with Cam, though Napier helped a lot with Cam

Another hope we may be able to use is Cristobal being a hot coaching candidate and the growing reality that he will soon leave for a head job. Maybe that changes things late but don't know at this point

Ehh, not really. If we lose guys at a position of need I would freak out. But we just had one of the best oline hauls under miles and we got those guys from OOS. I like franks at qb, and I'm not worried about losing a guy with zero ties to LA to ole miss. I wouldn't call that, fence down. Especially when we going into Texas and Florida and taking some of their best players.

And we just offered one of the top players in the DC area that would make up for any instate olinemen we lose.
