Hootie and Jamal Adams. I 100% expect to see same outcome too where this will be an upgrade. Like hootie, I'm willing to bet Moses has a mediocre career and like Adams, Phillips will surprise people.

I think Phillips will be the same type of leader that Jamal was and have just as big of an impact. looking forward to Phillips the most in this great class.

I think Moses will have a better career at Bama than he would have had at LSU because of the scheme.

Adams was a higher rated Safety than Hootie, not sure who was surprised by his success.

He may have a better career at Bama, but it will everything to do with the stacked DL they have, not the scheme.

That being said, he would have had a better NFL career if he came to LSU because he would actually learn how to play LB here.

LSU NFL LBs >>>> Alabama NFL LBs

There were plenty of people still hoping we got hootie and felt it was more important than getting Jamal. Idk why but they were stuck on hootie. Didn't mean they were surprised with Jamal's performance but that people were surprised about the outcome of the situation playing out the way it did.

That whole 5for 5 situation was surprising with how all the ones who left in that group ended up being trouble at the schools they went to

Little different since one is an ILB and the other is an OLB.

Phillips is the number one rated inside linebacker in this class. I don't think his success will surprise anyone. I do agree Phillips is better than Moses though

Dave Aranda is an animal, but there isn't a single coach on this staff responsible for the LSU LBs in the NFL.

I'm confused as to how this got so many up votes as it has been said almost every day on this board

I'm a die hard tiger fan, but I'm also a realist.

Bama has some serious LB talent in the NFL(Mosley,Hightower,Ragland,McClain, I'm sure I'm forgetting some)

We have Debo & Kwon and an aging Perry Riley

Moses seems like one of those guys that maxed out in HS. Freak Johnson was sort of like that (as an example)

Don't forget Kelvin Shepard too. He had around 50 tackles this season, that doesn't happen riding the bench.

Care to expound? Pretty damn similar schemes now that Aranda has fully installed his system.

What I've read of, seen, and heard from interviews, Phillips is the real deal - and someone who'll represent us well.

What I've read of, seen, and heard from interviews, Moses is a really talented athlete who will be hard-pressed to live up to expectations that began in freakin' Middle School.

Honestly, I believe we got the better end of it, though I hate seeing good talent leave the state - and especially to Bama.

God bless both of them.
I just hope that God blesses LSU with wins over Bama for the three years that Phillips is here and even the four years that Moses is stuck in Tuscaloosa.
