Tahaan Goodman says LSU and UCLA were even up until the non-visit to Baton Rouge last weekend. He says the coaches never called and that's why he decided to go to UCLA that weekend instead. It seems hard to believe that LSU coaches would have failed to call TG especially when there's a need at safety. Could it be that LSU was really not after TG and only considered him on the strength of PW?

TG.... "Once (the LSU trip) didn't happen, I didn't force it, the coaches didn't call me, I was like all right," Goodman said. "It was really between those two. Those were my last two main schools, LSU and UCLA. They were pretty much even. When I didn't get the call from the coach I felt like it was meant to be.

Still believe that it is always the coaches responsibility first to be the one to contact, not the players.

Why does Tahaan need a phone call for reassurance? Sounds like he wants his hand held.

Coaches can only call so much. If a recruit is honestly interested in your school, they will make time to do the paperwork and get visits done, or call the coaches. It's that simple. Coaches are also going after other players, they're busy people.

Doesnt matter, had he really wanted to go to LSU he would have. The plans were in place for him to come, if the coaches dont baby these kids all the way up to him showing up on campus that causes him to not show up? Im ok with him not being here with that kind of attitude.

Agreed. If Tahaan really had interest in us he would have visited. Period.

Did he not fail to take the necessary steps to schedule his visit? I never knock a recruit but this is a load of shite.

They offered the guy a frickin scholarship to play on one of college football's premier defensive units. If that guy doesn't see that as an opportunity then it was probably for the best that he didn't come here.
