That's what we talked about. I told him that lsu is on a shortage of receivers, so they must really want you if they offered you. He mentioned how lsu being his first offer really made a good impression, but there were personal reasons for wanting to leave the state. Whether it be something here pushing him (family issues, other problems) or something there attracting him (money, less depth, being "the man") I'm not sure of.

What this is turning to is Cam Newton type recruitment. The highest bidder will get his services.

THis is sooooo typical of the RB lately.

Having no clue about what goes on; all of a sudden when a local star decommits, though he MIGHT commit back to us (lsu), you dumbasses come out and cry that he's going to the highest bidder. It's so lame and irresponsible.

Also, let's not act like TCU and AU are horrible places for a 6-5 230 lb WR to wind up.

Some of y'all are ridiculous.

The main point of the OP was to announce that auburn is major player as well.

Again, it's cool to hear stuff from someone close to a prospect. Thanks for bringing it here. Bottom line is he plays a position we're loaded at and isn't a can't miss kinda guy, so the response just isn't going to be that lively.

Aside from that, your OP didn't get the point across about Auburn. Before you start telling people to get their heads out of their asses and saying the site just bashes anyone who brings info, you might want to learn to communicate clearly. I hear that's pretty important for a lawyer.

Normally it's cool to hear stuff like this... But the kid literally said while he was still committed that he was 50/50 to TCU. Not in a weight room or to friends, but to a reporter. OP deserves a little razzing on this one.

Agreed. There is a difference between racing to be the first to say "Germans!" and simply telling someone that his information is no very informative.

I know most of the rant doesn't like information without links, especially negative information. But I'm out here in Donaldsonville working out with a few alumni players and one of the younger guys who plays Juco ball and is friends with Sullivan gave me a little information today on the kid. I hold this information a credible because two months ago he told me Sullivan was considering tcu and sure enough, he decommits. He told me Sullivan liked tcu and was talking up auburn recently. Take it for what you will.

No offense, but posting stuff like this after the fact, isn't scoop and isn't really news.

Would have been better to post it when you originally heard it, all news, good or bad, is still news and is appreciated by many on this board, myself included.

To everyone complaining about me saying anything about tcu, that was background information, or in law school, it is called grounding for an argument. I was providing the point that I doubted him when he told me that tcu was a major player months before Sullivan decomitted, had any reports out to the press, or even a thread on the rant. That grounding, evidence that points to the fact that maybe the source is getting legit first hand information that is accurate, is what led me to believe him when he told me it wasn't just tcu he was considering, but auburn as well. Please tell me where the rant or any reports are saying auburn is a major player. My source is not the rant, read the post and you can clearly see who I give credit to for being my source. Now, you're getting upset because of the tcu statement, but miss the main point of it even being there. I usually don't post anything on here because people bash and criticize anything they don't deem up to standard. I visited Texas a year ago to check out some prospects and talked to a few of them. One of my first posts on the rant was asking about our chances with them. Because some fancy website or holy man on the rant didn't ask, the responses weren't serious. Sometimes, it's best to take the information (with a grain of salt of course) and thank the messenger rather than bash him. Because when they do know something knew, they'll be more tempted to share it with you rather than share it and hear steady complaints.

Hard returns. Use them.
