Brennan threw 3 tds and ran for 1 in a 37-24 victory over Long Beach. The game was a tough one. Glad to come away with a win against a 5A team. Stanislaus being a 4A school has now beat 2 5A teams and 1 6A team.

I was at the game and Long Beach played out of their minds, they aren't big or talented but they gave it their all tonight. The game was closer than the score indicated. Brennan is an impressive athlete, he's gonna need some time with Moffit or else they'll break him in half. Overall it was a fun game to watch.

LBHS class of 01.

Was also at the game, all night he was running on the run because he has no offensive line.. Looked good in the pocket for most part

Here's a nice story on the game from the SunHerald: LINK

And this which I didn't know - From the article:

quote:

SSC travels to Brother Martin of New Orleans next week while Long Beach travels to Vancleave.

They played Brother Martin last year and got destroyed. Should be closer this year, but will probably get beat pretty easily.

They played Cover Zero (defense)

Sounds similar to the Saints defensive plan

When you were there, did you have a big time D1 QB?

They have a chance to play BMHS close. I think Brother Martin takes them though.

I saw a article a few days ago that had him listed at 6'4 and in the low 170's and that looks about right.

What did Harris weigh his senior year?

I don't think Miles is 6'4. 6'3 and I would say closer to 180. Don't worry about his weight that will come in time. Remember Hodson was 6'3 and around 165ish when he got to LSU. I think Harris was around the same 170ish.

Note that his go-to receiver Corbin Blanchard had 7 catches for 237 yards. Also the SunHerald tweeted prior to the kickoff that SI's Peter King had credentials for the game. Don't know if he attended.

Why does Mississippi have 6A with their small population?

I said the same thing at the start of the season. But after Stanilaus (excuse spelling) beat the #1 ranked 5A team in Alabama in week one, a team who blew them out next year, Im expecting a dog fight

Jordan-Swilling, playing only the first half, carried the ball 19 times and set school records with 343 yards rushing and seven touchdowns as the Crusaders – ranked No. 5 in the SportsNOLA Class 5A rankings – defeated Saint Stanislaus 68-21 here Friday night.
