I see he has offers from Fla St.,Texas,Texas A&M, and Tulane do anyone think LSU will offer.

I think we're only taking 4 OL this year, and if he's a guard, he's below others on our board. It's not out of the question though.

I imagine it will be tough to take him with Robinson, Clapp, Brumfield and Bauer. Maybe he'll get some attention if some of those guys go elsewhere.
Really? Wonder if they are just trying to get in the door with Fournette?

Speaking of st.aug, any new info on jermaine Roberts?

So i'm guessing we would have to miss out on Brumfield for this kid to get a offer. It's not bad to have another 6'4 330 mauler plus it might help with Fournette.

Who do you think should get the offer between Paul and Bailey Granier from South Lafourche.

If he and Fournette are close, lets offer him. If they aren't friends, then don't worry about, we have much bigger OL fish to fry.

One is a tackle and one is a guard, so it would depend on which position we had a spot at. It's not an either/or with those two.

We have two recent Aug grads on the line, so I'm sure the staff knows what they're looking for out of OL there. There's enough connections at the school to not have to commit to a package deal for Fournette, IMO

Usually I'd agree, but I want to leave nothing to chance. Lets do everything physically possible to wrangle this kid. Its not like Joseph Paul is a terrible player. Could be a solid backup for 4 years.
Again, this is just an idea. I think we get LF regardless. I am just bored now that NSD is over

Looks like UF recently offered.

6-4 330?
Florida, Florida St, Texas, and Texas A&M have offered?
and we have bigger fish to fry on the OL recruiting scene?

Seriously, I don't understand people sometimes. He has some big time offers and he gets treated as a second tier prospect. I'm sure LSU will give him a look.

I think he gets an offer bc IMO we miss out on brumfeld

Well, we're taking limited numbers at his position in this class and have already extended 2 in state offers and received one commitment. It's not out of the question to say that he's not as high on our board as Clapp and Brumfield.
He could be the 3rd guard on our board, but we can't offer him without being willing to take the commitment at that time.

is he coming to JR day?

That is true but I think Paul is a guy that if he continues to work hard, comes to camp and shows out, LSU could just pull the trigger and take him instead if Brumfield is still looking around.
He has offers now from FSU, Florida, Texas, and A&M. That's pretty legit.

I understand that is LSU's policy in that there aren't a bunch of non-commitable offers. I'm just surprised to hear a kid being talked about like without any news from a junior day, etc. It took several camps before Brumfield was ever offered.

any chance that these early offers are an attempt to get at fournette before he commits to us. not saying the kid isn't LSU quality but no way Wilson would miss out on offering him. we would have taken RN teamate this year if he would have qualified. same thing could be occurring here.

OOS schools can throw out an offer to a kid and then not follow up on it. Like Bama and Kenneth Santa Marina this year.
LSU can tell kids what they need to do to earn an offer, but OOS schools can offer and then tell a kid what they need to do to keep it.
It's a game of semantics, but LSU has to maintain in-state relationships with the HS coaches, they can't burn a kid. OOS schools aren't as beholden to that.
I don't doubt that these offers are genuine, though. Florida, Texas, etc aren't in the business of package deals.

I'm almost certain that we would not have.
