Miles is getting exactly what he deserves. Kids and the best of the state leaving us for better ground. He has earned this crap. This class are lack there of will show up in a couple of years.

Davis has not left for what I would consider "better ground."

Actually it isn't. You pretty much showed up to bash the coaches and you don't know shite about recruiting. That is what it is.

If this is true, then why not pull out from LSU three weeks ago and let us recruit against the spot? Why the last minute bullshite games?

Either this kid doesn't have a lot of common sense (as many are at that age), or he was told to pull this off the way he did and say what he did.

It's not like he doesn't understand how this all works by now. Everyone was happy until 1-9 and we lost a game.

I don't buy that line at all. Look at the last 5 years for LSU, unhappy players don't have records like that. If you're a competitor, you should be unhappy if you're not where you want to be.

I suppose if players are happy to be a just above 500 team then you really have a problem in your program.

My guess is was scared of the competition he would have faced at LSU, and that's a valid reason to leave, he could have just handled the whole thing better...

No offense really I guess but if Shreveport decided to secede from La. and join TX I'm not sure the rest of La. would really care. I lived there 4 yrs and I'd say a lot of the people are bandwagon Saints and LSU fans when the mood suits them ... BIG Dallas Cowboy town.

What are you talking about? What does that have to do with a high school kid committing to a school in Austin? Also, Shreveport is a huge LSU town. Saints not near as much, but to say otherwise about LSU would be incorrect.

It could have something to do with the horrible press LSU football has been getting via Shreveport Times. Glenn Gilbeau is syndicated and all his rantings are published in the Shreveport Times along with Letters to the Editor calling out Miles on the JJ stuff. The truth doesn't matter in this case, b/c perception is more dangerous.

This kid saw, and heard the rumblings. He handled this poorly, but to say that he was scared of trying to compete with LSU's players is ridiculous. Texas, year in and year out, has more depth and more blue-chip athletes. Of course, they hardly materialize for them (i.e. 6 and 7 wins seasons), but an 18 yr old from Woodlawn probably doesn't peel the onion on those rankings and look at the results that matter.

Anyone that keeps up with Texas' program knows that things are not kosher at Texas. They openly have pushed players out of the program since the season ended and had a player(Darius White) openly telling recruits including DGB not to go to Texas. Also have a split program concerning the qb. Not exactly a "stable" set of circumstances. Davis has been pushed away from LSU all year and it's pretty well known. I'm not talking about that coach either. His mother preferred Texas all along and is moving to Houston. Best of luck to the kid. Just wish he were more honest than he was.

If I don't know what I'm talking about it will prove itself in the next two to three years. We all have opinions

I think Texas' program is in a bigger mess than people think. They put on a good show, which results in great recruiting. I think Mack Brown isn't worth a damn after signing day. This kid will learn the hard way.
