Why would I be insecure when discussing recruiting with a TCU fan? Sorry you need false statements from an article to validate your stance with a player we've never seriously considered.

Blanchard wasn't really considered by LSU even before his Arkansas commitment. He was entertained with the idea of possibly playing another position but no one expected an offer to go his way. If LSU would've taken a RB in this class, it most likely would've been Adam Taylor from Katy, TX but the staff wasn't sold on him either. It's all in for Fournette.

Arky dropped a 4-star off of their class that only had two 4-stars?

Blanchard isn't getting a LSU offer but I hope he stays in-state!

Word is he is headed for Tulane and will announce next week.

Rumors for the past week on a Tulane message board was about them stealing an SEC commitment. I assumed it was Darian Claiborne they were talking about. I guessing it was this guy.

No injury prone, would probably be a backup at LSU.

I like Blanchard but no way we take him after passing on Adam Taylor and Elijah McGuire. Both are better.

As for the circumstances, I'm no fan of it but it's par for the course with coaching changes and as already posted, word was that he was Tulane bound anyway. Whether that had to do with Arky letting him know quickly that he was not in their plans or not is something I don't know.

I know, I was only joking. Was the coaching change the main reason for pulling his scholly?

Would be a great pickup for Tulane in an already impressive class for them.

He is local to the BTR area. He is not bad but I did not see him set the world on fire either. My sons HS team beat the dog squat out of them and we barely made the playoffs. I am surprised to see 4* on him. 3* would be about right for major college IMHO.

You're going to need tougher skin for the next few years if you choose to continue to post.

Tulane's got Santa Marina and the kid from Zachary coming in on the OL, to start with.

That's the makings of a pretty strong offensive line by the time Blanchard hits his stride there.

Would be good for all parties involved.

I would love to see a lot of the second-tier kids who trickle out of state to the Big 10, Arkansas and whatnot start ending up at Tulane instead. Would be fun if Tulane was a 10-2 team and I think it can get there if the second tier guys like Santa Marina, Claiborne, Blanchard, maybe even a Duke Riley start going there.

Yes. Bielema told his coach that he didn't really fit what he and Chaney wanted and that they were going to pursue other options.

Seems crazy to me considering we desperately need RB's with one of our freshmen transferring. I mean take him just as a body because we need it. They need to land 2-3 RB's in this class after losing 2 seniors, Knile Davis going pro and Donovan Roberts transferring. Cutting Blanchard gives us zero currently.

However I don't get paid the big bucks. I get that they are trying to be honest with the kid and give him time to find another offer but it sucks because he was our first commit post Petrino and a die hard Hog.

I hope he lands on his feet somewhere good and proves our staff wrong.
