I have never understood them and the fact that you cannot CB the school that a player is committed to does not make a lot of sense.

Theoretically, you could have a kid committed to LSU and some hack in GA could start to CB the kid to UGA just because he took a visit-- and everyone goes crazy.

Dumb -- what am I missing?

They're just guessing where a guy goes. That's all CB's have ever been

There's a few I take seriously, Sonny and Shea regarding a prospect interested in LSU and
Steve Wiltfong (True Stats: 178 out of 199 (89.45 %)).

A guy like Demetric Warren views it as a game where he tries to guess early and accumulate points, total garbage.

I've always understood it to also be somewhat of a game for the analysts. I think they get points based on how accurate their predictions are. So a lot of times the "experts" are CB'ing on a long shot or a hunch to get more points if it actually happens. An example would be the Lousiville mod who picked the LSU lean after his ov a few days ago. No real chance he was going to Louisvill ebut IF something odd happened and he did the picker would have scored a ton of points, where he would get basically zero for CB'ing to LSU.

Not sure what they win, if anything, but I bet there are some inside wagers going on.
