Saeed Blacknall rethinking leader?

Rivals $$$
Honestly, the bold part tells me a lot about him, and with the possibility to get a lot of guys in this class including Quille (hopefully he can get his home mess figured out, fingers crossed), I'd tell Blacknall to go to Bama. I'd love him in this class, but if he's already questioning the depth chart, that's a question mark.
[quote]"They thought there was a possibility that I could commit while I was there, but I made it pretty clear that it was still too early for me to make a decision," he said. "LSU is a great school with a great opportunity, but I'm still figure a lot of things out. As a wide receiver, I want to get out on the field and play. They have a pretty deep wide receiver depth chart and I know they are recruiting a lot of receivers, but I don't want to go there and be just a guy. It's a process that I'm still trying to figure out."/quote]
Again, I know he's probably just experiencing seeing a different campus for the first time and with the serious amount of WR's coming in, it's an understandable concern for Blacknall but it just took me by surprise.

Can't blame him. Even LF likes LSU for one reason being because the depth chart is better for early PT than Bama.

Did you hear Harris is going to auburn?

You think that's the only reason?

I didn't mean it like that exactly. I meant we have been trying to figure out how to weasel our giant amount of elite talent down to around 25 and have been considered a favorite at one time for as many as 7 WR's, if one of them is worried about what could be an epically deep WR class, then so be it. Good luck at Alabama or wherever else you go.
And I'm not writing off Blacknall but honestly I'm more of a fan of the LA boys, although Blacknall is a hell of a prospect. If he wants in, then obviously we make room.

shite ain't free.
Back on topic, this quote is a little worrisome. Though, I don't know if Bama is the best place to go if he is trying to avoid depth at receiver. They have some good young ones and lead for Ermon Lane. So if he is worried about the depth chart he should probably just stay in NJ and go to Rutgers.
On the other hand, this could be deflection so his announcement isn't a forgone conclusion to LSU. Pretty much all of these kids want to have "their" moment, so if every one knew before hand were you intended to go it would sap all of the excitement out of the announcement. Same reason Brandon Harris is still saying he's considering Auburn and Ohio State.

We get Quinn, Dupree, and Speedy.
Maybe Williams.
We don't need anyone else. We lose a lot of receivers but geez.

I hope you're right, I would love Blacknall in P & G. He is the big strong WR that Les and Cam love. I just hope we get at least Quille or Blacknall to go along with Quinn, Speedy and Dupre and then shift Upchurch around in various places with Chark at DB

Sounds like his confidence is shook. I hope he didn't go 1 on 1 against Tony Brown, because ..."Tony Brown will literally ruin you".- Trent Dilfer.

I wouldn't be as worried if we landed Quill. If we don't land Quill, I want Blacknall.

I
But I agree with some of the others above, it's possible he saw what Dupre, Speedy and Quinn were doing at the camp and noticed the talent is unreal and he doesn't want to be "just another body."
Even Shea on 24/7 was saying glowing things about all of the three LA boys but when asked about Blacknall he said he didn't really show out but he looks the part.

Blacknall is a must, and as CP3 said getting Quille would soften the blow, but for only one year.
Anyone saying LSU doesn't need or it doesn't matter if they lose a WR like Blacknall is delusional. Especially with the amount of WRs LSU is losing in the next two years.
