With Aranda bringing the 3-4 scheme and us having a big need for a NG I think we're going to pull Blacklock guys. A&M going up in flames.

He visits on us on Jan 22nd look for O to seal the deal. Plus he'd have a chance at immediate PT. I have a good feeling on this one

Not that far fetched with the direction of the programs. Would be a great addition because Ed O will get the most outta his rotation.

LSU is hitting Texas like crazy right now. DELANCE made a HUGE mistake going to Texas.

Has there been any confirmation he will run 3-4? He's run 4-3 in the past. Especially considering how shallow we are at LB.

Funny how Chavis being at A&M and his lack of recruiting potentially hurting them...

Even if Aranda runs a 3-4 it will be an attacking 1 gap scheme. Don't think he'll be looking for any big NG types. Honestly think Raekwon Davis will be pursued more than Blacklock.

I don't understand when people have this attitude towards a recruit who chooses his in state school and then lose their minds when someone from LA goes elsewhere.

While Texas isn't the elite football school they were 10 years ago, it's still a very good school (athletically and academically). He will have a good chance of being a multi year starter at a power 5 football school in the heart of a great city. Add that with the fact that he can be close to his family and monitor their health problems and it's hard to say he made a poor choice.

I wish he was a tiger, but every recruit has different needs.

So you would have advised Kevin Faulk and Booger McFarland to stay clear of LSU back in the 90's I assume.

Its still Texas, it is a great school and he can still make the pros if that's his goal and if he doesn't he will still have a great education and no playing for a mediocre to bad team does not in any way shape or form hurt his chances of making the pros.

Texas isn't even recruiting him.
