How many rbs we take in this class? Is Guice an Lsu lean? Does this kid get an offer?

Interesting.
I thought the plan was Brossette, Guice, and Ducre

Friend and fellow LSU fan who lives in Houston says he's tough as nails (kid goes to Katy, has seen him in person). Plans aside, IF he is favoring LSU and IF he commits- he's a definite take IMHO.
I'd like to think this is the result of them scarfing up many of the WRs. TAMU fans want to come here and tell us why a Noil is better off at TAMU. Well, Anderson is better off at LSU for obvious reasons.
And when talking Houston area, just like Dallas, there's always "pipeline implications".

Keep this in mind
When this board was so mad that LSU did not offer Adam Taylor, Katy High had a sophomore RB that the staff liked even more

I don't think the board was too upset over that. Christian Michael is a different story, though.

This place was upset that we were not taking a RB. Taylor was arguably the top back on our board.

I won't go into it, but I think your staff was right here.
Also, I don't think Anderson necessarily fits LSU's offense better than ours. He's pretty special and could fit any, tbh, but I think we'd be more likely to use his versatility while y'all would mostly use him as a feature back. Pluses and minuses to each and it really depends on what he wants.
Part of the problem we're having I think is how we use our current backs. They are all not really ideal for our offense - just what we have - so we don't use them in the passing game much. Anderson would probably be a take solely as a WR imo and really fits what we want to do, not necessarily what we do do.
Btw, I hadn't heard LSU mentioned but OU. Not saying that's right, only what I heard.

So he's better than LF?

Good points, but I think now with Cam Cameron we might try to use RBs more in the passing game.

I really liked that pickup when TAMU got him and was surprised when he decomitted. If we could land him and Guice, it would be unfair.
Guice and Fournette would already be the fastest running backs we've had since Trindon, and getting Anderson would just be ridiculous. I didn't forget that he carries power with him too. Bruisers in Brossette and Williams, versatility in Anderson, speedy explosive homerun threat in Guice, and Everything in Fournette. Holy shite, let it be true!
ETA: Beast FBs in Jones and Ducre, WOW!

yeah, that's certainly a possibility as Cam may change things. Coaching staffs and talents are always changing so recruiting is more about convincing a guy that you will do something than you have. Everyone does it. It's why relationships are so important because the player is going to decide who he believes and that's usually based on who he likes the most.

Yeah, but Mett just didn't like to throw short. He had Landry and Beckham and wanted to look for them every play. It isn't always about the coaching staff.

same with Manziel. He never looked short and would just run instead. That's why I said staffs and talents

Katy has a freshman RB Kadarius Page that will take carries from Anderson next year...and will be the top back in the state when he is a senior.
Posted on 4/26/14 at 8:26 pm to GaytorHater703
Anderson will be a stud whether he goes to OU, A&M, or LSU
Posted on 4/26/14 at 8:51 pm to tmc94
How does Anderson compare to Tristan Houston? And Kirk Merritt?
Posted on 4/27/14 at 12:54 am to smash williams
More similar to Merritt.
He says he has interest but I think we take Guice and call it a day at true RB
The Taylor outrage was mostly because of the aforementioned no RB taken and the gross miscommunication of his offer status.

If we had taken Taylor, there will be incessant bitching about how too many carries are wasted on Taylor instead of being given to Fournette. There will be a lot of complaints about Magee and Hilliard getting too many carries. It's inevitable.
