So I'm looking on rivals.com, and every Alabama commitment is a 4 star or better excluding the kicker. But when I look at our commitments, we have a good class, but rivals rates alot of our guys (Brennan, Moffitt, Charles, Edwards-Helaire) very low 3 stars. I wonder if Guidry and others would commit to Alabama, would their rating go up?

Rivals has became the most unreliable source for recruiting out there. Its amazing how far that company has fallen.

No, it isn't.

Yahoo bought Rivals from Shannon Terry years ago. He started 247 after his non-compete clause expired back in 2011.

CBS Sports now owns 247.

But you have to admit, Alabama's on the field record since 2008 kinda validates how highly ranked their players are by the recruiting sites.

Yeah. It's incredible. They have won the national championship every year since then.

The "bama bump", which absolutely exists, is primarily down to subscribers and keeping those people happy, nothing more.

It happens in reverse ways too, like at one point very late last recruiting cycle when LSU was up at the top of the 247 composite, overnight we lost 13 points due to updates on sites. Bama went up a few points. Total bullshite, I remember that one very specifically. We went from having the #1 class on near lockdown to finishing #3.

Dylan Moses isn't even top 10 according to rivals. Yet he has been murdering the camps for 3 years now...

MOST DISAPPOINTING: WR JAMES ROBINSON

This is a tough award to hand out, but every year it seems there is a big-time wide receiver who disappoints. Last year it was Darnell Salomon, a five-star at the time who struggled badly. this year it was James Robinson, who also hails from Florida. Robinson really struggled in his route running and fought the ball often and just didn’t look like the same guy we saw on film his junior year.

Honorable Mention: For the No. 13 player in the country, Dylan Moses wasn’t talked about much when it came to making big plays, and he struggled in solo coverage against the great group of running backs on hand. Linebacker Drew Singleton didn’t get too many mentions from our group as well, and Lowell Narcisse struggled with his overall accuracy, as did 2018 quarterback Phil Jurkovec.

WE WERE DISAPPOINTED BY

Dylan Moses

The No. 13 recruit in the Rivals100 struggled throughout the morning in coverage while playing linebacker. He seemed slow at times and did not show great instincts while covering the athletic running back group. He hasn’t developed into the impressive quick twitch defender we expected him to be, so it will be interesting to see if he can show signs of improvement this afternoon.

Funny how reports can be different one to next, some folks were saying Moses had the best hips of any LB there. How he isn't even mentioned for best off the bus award is beyond me. He is 6'2-6'3 230 of solid muscle. It's almost like rivals has a clear agenda against him at this point. Not even a Top 10 prospect when he's fighting for the Top spot on other sites? Get out of here...

dont fret.

you never know.

LSU's Shepard was the #1 player in the country,5 star dual threat but he couldn't play college QB to save his life. He was thrown down like a sack of potatoes when he tried to go through a hole and someone caught him in midair and nearly pancaked him. He was out the game and no longer QB, right then.
He was fast and shifty
and he is still in the NFL being given a shot at #3 WR with Tampa.

No argument there. It sure does translate. For as LSU's rival site; I just don't like Mike. He seems pissed off all the time and any recruiting questions thrown his way seem to annoy him.

I bet you this would read a bit differently if he were a Bama commit.
