Who on the LSU roster could successfully switch positions and be a great safety at LSU if LSU fails to sign an experienced safety in the 2013 Class?

Debo Jones?
Rickey Jefferson?
John Diarse?
(others)?

From what I'm hearing, Corey Raymond has Rickey Jefferson at the top of the list.

Hopefully it's a moot point. Hopefully the 2013 Class will have at last two recruits with successful experience at the safety position(s).

I'm pretty sure Jefferson was going to be a safety regardless of who else signed an LOI.

Yeah I think Ricky projects at safety regardless. May start at CB just to cross-train him there like Brandon Taylor.

Diarse already a WR on roster, Ricky could if he gets stronger but I think stays at CB. LSU will probably hit the safteys hard for next years class and we will get a couple i bet

I met him once when i helped at a LSU camp about a year ago. He was cut but not big, I guess your saying he has gotten a lot bigger

Tool, have you seen him lately? Are you implying that he's beefing up?

Ricky will pay wherever the coaches want him. But im 100% sure he will get a look at cb and safety. Wherever he ends up is where the coaches want him and you have to be fine with that.

Him playing defense has no bearing on who we may or may not sign. the coaches already told him hes playing defense.

Everything ive read so far says its looking Juco for him. But that LSU is helping him out with that so we can get him back in 2 years.

Well, I hope he can turn things around in JUCO. Let's hope he sees the big picture and can hop aboard the 2015 class.

I always thought that lamar louis could be a heck of a safety if he had to move to another spot. Being that he is bout 5'11 to 6' and around 215 to 220 and athletic he could play in space better than he could playing closer to the line.

It's amazing how some of you people drink the purple kool-aid. If you ever watched Ricky play you would not be talking how great a safety this guy will be. This kid is not a ball player. Definitely doesn't play with heart. At safety you need a missile that is ready to hit somebody. He ain't that guy. Corner or nickel maybe. I watched a few of his games and although he has more talent he was not a Jarvis Landry in high school. I know he had a bad injury his junior year, maybe I'm wrong and he was just making sure he didn't get hurt again. I hope so.
