Trovon Reed probably would be where Odell is now. Odell would have taken a redshirt.
I'm sorry, but there is NFW.
I have to agree. Shep has been here longer than Landry and OBJ, but he's the third option behind those two guys. I think Reed would be in the same boat. Maybe even a RJ Jackson type of guy who gets buried behind Fobbs/Wright/Boone. But he wouldn't be in front of OBJ or Landry.

These are the same people who laughed when we said our DBs were better than their DBs.

Trovon had 1/2 the catches (21 to 41) and 1/3 the yards receiving (164 to 475)that Odell did, and significantly less yards per catch (7.8 to 11.6)...I don't see him doing anything that would have blown the doors off of Odell last year.
I know he struggled with injuries during the year, but that's what put Jarvis Landry behind the 8-ball too. ODB had a heck of a year for a true frosh WR.
Edit to add this quote from spring practice this year:

quote:
WR Trovon Reed -- The team's fourth-leading receiver last year with 21 catches, Reed never showed the explosive big-play ability the coaches feel he has. Receivers coach Trooper Taylor said Reed has changed his demeanor this spring, improving his toughness and supplying more of a physical presence. If Reed can keep his health and strength, the explosive plays the coaches have been looking for from him might finally happen this fall.

I dont think Lacy was offered. he was a non-predictor, as they used to say in basketball. Didnt look like he would make the grades.
Sylve has been injured, right? I think if he were hale and healed, he would be able to get on the field because he has good hands.
So Sylve would get touches, if I were the coach. That's presuming his is healed. I realize that spring football suggests that RS10 has learned the position. If so, fine. I go with what's real, not who's a senior.
Gunner would just be driving us crazy, competing vs Mett.
There would be a Mett clique and a Gunner clique, and if Mett did not blow Washington away (our first solid opponent), we would have threads whether Gunner should get his first start vs an SEC opponent.
