Review of recruiting class distribution by position over last 5 classes:

POS 2017 2016 2015 2014 2013
QB ----2 ----1 -----1 -----2 ----2
RB ----1 ----1 -----2 -----1 ----0
FB ----1 ----0 -----1 -----0 ----0
WR ---3 ----3 -----4 -----4 ----5
TE ----0 ----1 -----3 -----2 ----3
OT ----2 ----2 -----4 -----1 ----2
OG ---2 ----2 -----1 -----2 ----2
C ------0 ----0 -----0 -----0 ----1
DE ----3 ----4 -----2 -----3 ----5
DT ----2 ----4 -----0 -----2 ----2
LB ----2 ----2 -----0 -----2 ----3
CB ----1 ----3 -----2 -----0 ----3
S ------3 ----2 -----0 -----4 ----0
ATH --2 ----0 -----2 -----2 ----0
ST ----0 ----1 -----2 -----1 ----0
--------24 --26 ---24 ---26 ---28

Positions are listed as per 247, but there are some certain flaws:
2017 shows 2 LB, Chaisson listed as DE & Queen listed as ATH
2016 shows 1 RB = Devin White (LB)

FACT: Miles unnecessarily stockpiled WR's when his scheme didn't call/allow for their utilization
MYTH: Miles overstocked on DB's
FACT: 2015 class imbalance was HORRIFIC. 4 TOTAL defenders (per 247 position listing) and 7 RECEIVERS??? LB whiff in '15 was compounded by Clifton Garrett bust from '14.

So true. Very good receivers, at that.

Fact 2015 LSU was ranked 6th (247) nationally in recruiting.

Fact: Miles never let 5 of the state's top 10 in go elsewhere.

Fact: Miles had one of the best SEC records of all time.

Fact: Miles won a Nat'l Championship and went to another.

Until someone does better, leave the man alone.

Fact: Miles had no clue how to coach the great recruits he got there.

Fact: Miles is a horrible Xs and Os in game coach.

Fact: Miles prepared for every team with the exact same 4 play gameplan.

After 2 seconds I can tell this is flawed. In 2014 we took 2 running backs not 1

Good review. Have to think that Clifton Garret put us back 2 seasons really.

When all is said and done, it is going to be interesting to see what position Miles put the most of in the NFL. Likely DB, but WR is going to come real close I bet.

Thanks. If you READ the post, it was stated:

I listed some examples from 2017 and 2016 classes. 247 had DW listed as an ATH for the 2014 class.
