Check out recruit Nico Johnson, the 5-star linebacker from Andalusia High in Alabama. This kid is a BEAST!!! I can see why he's the second-highest rated linebacker in the country.

Any chance we can snag him from Alabama? Man ... I hope so!!

I wish but we have probably less of a chance of getting him than Bama has of getting Bell.

I'm guessing Bama lock?

My question is why pretty much all of Alabama's top players have been going to Bama the last few years and not more to Auburn. All Auburn does is beat Bama every year.

BTW, McClain, J Harris, Nico Johnson and Tana Patrick is a pretty sick stretch of LB's out of one state, I wish LA would put out some big time LB's like this.

Any chance Nico or Tana go to Auburn?

Nico is pure bama lock. They paid him early, I meant recruited him early.

Tana is the one that is 50/50 Auburn Bama right now.

I don't have any stats to back me up, but I'm guessing Auburn has been much better at recruiting out of state than Bama is. Maybe an Aubbie fan can give us some numbers.

Nico, Kirkpatrick, and Tana are all silent Bama commits.

When is the last time Louisiana put out a 5 star linebacker? I have only been following recruiting closely for about three or four years now, but the recruiting databases go back to 2002, and I don't see one.

the state of Alabama is around 75% Bama fans. Therefore if you put that percent to the recruits, you get majority are Bama homers. This is because of all the rednecks that jumped on the bandwagon in the 70's with Bear Bryant. Once that generation is gone, the current generation will be more equivalent with Auburn winning more.

And I am allowed to say bandwagon cause majority of Alabama fans never went to the school or have even seen it before. They are called Gumps. Majority of Auburn fans are graduates and are successful doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. Gumps drive Golden Flake trucks, work at the steel plant, work in construction, etc.

I've never been in a trailer park in my life, besides the first time I went to the Bama/Auburn game. Just an fyi too, Alabama'a accounting program>Auburn's.

To everyone else, Auburn doesn't sign 5* players, they want "Tommy's guys" (5'11 or shorter and sub 4.4 speed).

about the best linebacker(middle) recruit out of louisiana since 02 is cameron vaughn, i think he was a 4 star on most services. i believe he started all four years, played in the 03 NC game. he didn't get drafted but he has been on a couple different NFL teams practice squads now. i think he is with the cardinals right now.

I have recruited Accountants from both schools and trust me, Auburn's accountants are more prepared for work and for the CPA exam than Alabamas. When I went to the recruiting event at Alabama, there were kids wearing basketball jerseys and girls dressed like they were going clubbing. They didn't even have resumes. When you go to Auburn's, they have everyone in suits with portfolios. Our firm is around 60/10 Auburn/Alabama with the other 30% from Troy, etc.

I mean don't get me wrong that Alabama's business school is rated higher in most publications but from experience, I don't wanna hire kids from there cause it takes them longer to get a hold of what is going on in an accounting firm. Auburn's kids hit the ground running while Alabama's are held back and on the short bus.

Can you take this Auburn vs. Alabama shite to the SEC Rant section of TD? You're cluttering up the recruiting board with nonsense.
