Is anyone else completely relieved about Running Back recruiting for 2018 as much as I am. This dude is an absolute stud recruiter.

TJ Pledger was already High on LSU and with Robinson on staff I think we are at the tippy top now.

Where do you get this from? I looked at his 24/7 profile and LSU is even listed as one of the teams of interest. His twitter does not mention LSU either.

I don't know about being high on LSU, but he does have an offer from us, and Robinson was already on him at USC. RBs are down in LA for 2018, so a class of Pledger and Fabian Franklin would be a great start for him.

Robinson is going to be judged heavily on getting at least Franklin for 2018 and Noah Cain for 2019

I agree 100%. This is a tremendous upgrade from the recruiting of Craig and Juluke. Plus he is a much better from a coaching perspective as well. SLAM DUNK HIRE!

Can anyone name the last west coast recruit who signed with LSU? Are they're any?

This isnt about west coast guys. Robinson is a national recruiter with strong ties in Tx.

The first RB mentioned is from Cali. Just commenting. We don't get west coast guys.

Off the top of my head, Hayden Rettig was a 4 star QB from Cali but he eventually transferred.

With a resume like that we sure in the hell would have had a better shot with Akers then we did with Juluke. No way in hell Juluke was getting a stud RB here. Robinson would have locked up Akers and he would have never went down to FSU

Akers*

And you have no idea if Robinson would have locked up Akers or not and will never know so no need to even make that claim.

Other than this past year Robinson hasn't been that effective as a recruiter. I think people need to lower their expectations.

I'll make that change. Thanks spell check guy
You're a fool if you think Robinson wouldn't have had a bigger impact on Akers.

Looks like the guy gets around. Will he be at Lsu more than 1 or 2 years? What's he getting paid vs other schools he's been at

I think folks are taking for granted how good Franklin is. This kid is a future stud and I pray we don't frick it up and let him get away. He should get an offer sooner rather than later

There is a difference between having a bigger impact and actually landing the kid.

This guy is good at what he does and is naturally highly sought after thus explaining his travels. He is working his way to a Coordinator and then Head Coach.

I would rather have these type of hires rather than an average coach who might stay for 10 years and get complacent.
