not surprising, stud never got off his fatass to have a face to face with Robinson in Monroe. He shouldn't have even been given the time to find a new job, the new guy should have been put in place to have at least made a run at him.

Shouldn't Miles have stepped in and recruited himself rather than relying on fall guy Stud!

Contact limit rules on HC would pretty much negate this happening.

That and the fact that it is only a matter of time before Brian Kelly accepted an NFL coaching gig.

LSU doesnt have half the resources as Bama.

LSU cant offer parents or relatives jobs in the recruiting office. Bama has a much larger recruiting budget and top notch facilities.

There is great disparity btwn Bama and LSU.

Of course Bama outworked us. They outwork everyone. Their staff and budget are incomparable.

Optimus Grimes do in work! I have no doubt in my mind that we'll still be good on blocking even though we'll lose 3 guys.

If true, that's some CEO we have at head coach... If stud was allowed to just blow off recruiting the highest ranked OL for two straight years, what does that say about Les? Not saying Les has to micromanage all of his coaches, but a, "how are things with Tillery" or "where do we stand with Cam" should be discussed during the recruiting process.

He said Stud didn't recruit him, not the other staff or Miles. Tillery has held an offer for years. This is exactly what Stud was fired for, and the reason he is one of the first coaches on this staff to have the plug pulled without a landing spot already in place, so he could appear to have left on his own. It's pretty common knowledge that he checked out after being demoted. Miles recognized a problem and corrected it, with not one hire but two, but by all means keep trying to spin this into the complete opposite of the truth.

it should be easy for the recruiting coordinator or head coach to look into a recruiting LSU recruiting database and see who we have contacted and how often.

man, who the hell do you think enters the data into the database? it took miles a while to discover that the guy was making shite up. as a former sales manager I had more than one guy that drove past a prospects office and it ended up on his sales report as a call. it was properly entered into said "magic database" and if officially became a propect call.

Kind of makes you wonder if this was the real reason we lost Robinson. Bama out worked us.

Robinson didn't really like Stud much, but he did work hard at him. But that is the reason we didn't get him.

Do y'all think its possible Alabama's recent success and the number of first round draft choices they have had on the offensive line had something to do with Cam signing with Bama?

Stud was putting in work at The Mississippi stud table at Lauberge. No pun intended. He was literally playing that or 4 card poker several nights a week.

I told you for several years LSU's presence in the area dropped significantly. I told you last year Bama was out working LSU and here all the time. People would rather blame bag men instead of what a recruit just told you. This past year West Monroe hosted Neville for the Spring Game, 2 of the best programs in the state. There were coaches from Bama, McNeese, Tech, Arkansas, Southern Miss, etc., but no one from LSU. How does that happen?

Hopefully Miles has righted the ship on this. There are some studs coming up in this area the next few years. Hell there always is...

Some of the N. LA HS coaches last year were saying Studrawa was basically MIA. They didn't see or hear from him. That was a major reason why he got shitcanned.

As someone who knows the coaches in the area, including the late great Don Shows RIP, I can say that every bit of this is the truth. A mindset had formed among the coaches (and they all talk to each other) that N LA was just not deemed important to LSU as it once was. Meanwhile, other schools (yes, Alabama among them but other schools too like TCU) not only continued to keep and maintain close connections but also nurtured them.

Cold. Hard. Truth.
