With how confident Alabama fans have been on Carter and how little attention we have given to him, is it crazy to think Alabama might be pulling one on us?

Could they actually have told Shyheim to show some interest in LSU just to distract us from going all in and using all of our resources/time on Fulton and Mullen?

I've felt this way before when Hootie Jones already committed to Bama but then suddenly showed interest in us again after we made leeway with Jamal Adams.

Not a believer in conspiracy theories and I don't want to make any judgments about a potential player wanting to stay home to be close to his kids but, it just makes you wonder...

This is 100% conspiracy theory.

Sometimes 18 year olds change their minds on a dime, especially when the reality starts to set in about everything their decision entails. He is having second thoughts about going farther away from home. This is normal.

just like Gunner Kiel - packing his bags to come to LSU as an early enrollee, came to the realization of how far away LSU was from home. Decommitted the day he was supposed to enroll and enrolled at ND instead later that week.

Coaches are only allotted a certain amount of time to visit any one prospect during this time of year. They're gonna spend every second their allowed with each target left on the board. There isn't really an issue with "wasting resources". The only issue would be if other targets got turned off by LSU taking Carter, but Fulton and Mullen are higher on the board and know that. Carter is an ATH and not a massive priority, just too talented not to take if he wants in.

In short, you're paranoid.

I was reading an article I thought was hilarious last night that had Bama taking the #1 recruiting class on signing day, and the key was Shyheim. It would be funny if he signs with us and Bama finally gets knocked out of that position. Over the last five years (2011-15), only Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State have a better average recruiting ranking than LSU. Those also happen to be the only three teams to have won national titles in the last five years. People say "LSU was close in recruiting but hasn't had the same results." Close isn't good enough. #1 becomes #1. Let's geaux Tigers!!!

LSU isn't stupid. Trust me when I say they will not let Carter's attention detract them from recruiting the others.

No recruiting expert has changed shite of him including Shea, so where is this "he is interested in LSU" coming from btw? The rant?

BTW Fulton is now 100% LSU on 247 and Mullen 56% to LSU with FSU closest at 34% and dropping. This class is sick. He can jump on board the wave and be a Tiger or be Tiger Bait.

Shyheim visited LSU Monday. There are many newspaper articles on him being interested in remaining close to his kids. What on earth are you talking about?

So, you make a mid or early week unannounced visit to throw us off the Fulton/Mullen recruitments?

LSU is meeting with Fulton sometime this week and Mullen was here last week I believe. Consider the position they play. Multiple recruits will be pursued for their positions due to depth. They will not "feel" disrespected if LSU shows interest in Carter. It's too late in the process for "feeling" disrespect or being afraid of competition. Right now LSU is firming up their position with the commits and the top targets on the board, as well as calculating all options.
