I'm just wondering about Raheem Falkins, and why we aren't after him.Seeing that he is already commted to the Gumps just makes me sick. He seems to be exactly what we need, it just seems funny to me. If I'm wrong please enlighten me. Any info would be great, and any insight to how this class will shape will also be appreciated. Have a great day and of course GEAUX TIGERS!!!

It's funny that you bring him up because my close friend is a recruiter for Southern University and he went to Carver last week to recruit and the principal wanted him to talk to Raheem about academics (not so much attending SU).

My boy said that Raheem was a really cool dude and said that he is a lock for bama...he said that bama showed him more love and he is going there without a doubt...Shyrone Carey is his mentor and is pushing him to play for Satan

IMO I hope we don't even waste our time recruiting him...

Seriousy Shyrone Carey is his mentor. He played for LSU, this just seems weird to me

Carey originally committed to Tennessee. Saban flipped him to LSU.

This phrase is such horse shite. It doesn't mean anything except that these kids are egotistical douches that are just looking for whoever gives them the best ball washing.

None of them are actually looking for anyone to be honest with them, they're just looking for someone that will tell them what they want to hear.

(not calling out Cousin, just commenting in general)

And this is a shitty move too. He shouldn't pushing the kid anywhere, Bama, LSU, wherever. If he's truly his mentor, he'd be helping him make sure he picks the best place for him to succeed.

Actually, Carey originally went to Clemson and then transferred to LSU.

I agree with you 100%. My friend went to LSU as well so of course he was trying to talk him into coming to LSU but then Raheem said that bama showed him more love and he is going there fa sure. He said he wants to enroll in the Spring. That's why I just say we forget about him. Seems as if he has his mind made up.

wrong. he signed with tenn. however, didn't make the grade and we got him a year later.

so far, every player that left the state that lsu wanted, has not done that much.

Yeah, that isn't right at all. He signed with Tenn, didn't qualify and then enrolled at LSU later when he got his academic situation straight. Or when Saban got his academic situation straight.

Incorrect about Clemson. He signed with Tennessee then transferred without ever playing for them.

I'm sure Falkins is a good prospect, but unless the staff feels he's a must have, I doubt we go hard after him, considering that we have plenty of other WRs with mutual interest.

My bad. Could have sworn he was at Clemson one season. Must be getting my orange schools mixed up. Carry on.

I haven't seen the kid play, but other than the measurables, from folks who have put reviewed tape of him that would know the word is that he beat up on extremely crummy competition and hasn't been tested against commensurate talent.

He was not on any Top 10 lists that I saw come out. Not to say he's not a good player. Just not anywhere near as good as some folks think he is.

Not to denigrate Falkins, but there are WR like him in La every year. We've prolly got a comprable guy in Baker. Niether one of them are a Randle or Julio Jones so no biggie.

The funny thing about Carey and Saban is I've heard Saban used to ride him like a rented mule. Guess he felt the disciple is what he needed.

It's good that he is letting people know he is all Bama. Just like last year with Devall, I am glad he let our coaches know so they can recruit other players. I can't be upset every time a kid wants to go out of state. I will get mad as hell if they lead our coaches into thinking they are going to commit to LSU and then go OOS at the last minute.

Denzel & Torshiro had the same guy in their ears about going out of state: former Bastrop DC & Davis' former HC was driving them to Bama on his own dime.

Unfortunately, not even ace recruiter Steve Ensminger was aware of what was going on with Davis till it was too late. Just goes to show that even the best can get the wool pulled over their eyes.

Wait...
