I was looking over last year's class, and 247 listed Davis as the #59 best WR in the country, yet he had offers from LSU, Bama, Clemson, FSU, etc. Why was he ranked so low last year?

Probably didn't go to camps.

I always look at offers over rankings/stars.

Because he quit football for a year to play soccer and was never reevaluated. In reality he was a top 5 WR.

he's raw at the WR position but has the tools to be a playmaker.... also read that he doesnt like to get hit

He started playing football again late and they usually don't move the rankings around THAT much from when they initially rank kids like their sophomore year of high school. Hence why Dylan "the best 8th grader ever" Moses is just dropping to barely being a 5 star when he's had no business in the top 50 for a year or two now. It's just how the recruiting services operate

He's legitimately a freak athlete.

Very good soccer player, could've played college basketball, has great height, great speed, elite vertical jump, great size, etc.

Word is he just needs to learn how to catch and he could be a superstar.

I believe he caught a couple of passes last year. Seems to be behind Chark(whom didn't catch a pass till last year) maybe Gauge(who would have ever thought) and maybe Anderson. Apparently he was ahead of Dillon and Sullivan. Watch out for Guidry as a JUCO guy but who knows. Drake is a talented athlete and this year will go along way in showing if he is a good FB player. Also Canada and the new system with new evaluations may make a difference. I'm glad Drake is a Tiger'

I think this was proven false since he played on kickoff teams last year.... but not positive

Drake is prolly most talented WR on team, just needs to learn the game

He was pretty violent on kickoffs. The hands thing came from a spring scouting report last year I believe.

If this kid learns to high point the football, watch the frick out.
