Good get if he ever sets foot on campus. I think he will but if MLB comes with good money, I could easily see him go that route. Oklahoma has a ton of depth at QB and can afford the risk.

He is a good get. We got a 4* "dual-threat" QB in the 2012 class and we have Blake Bell who will be a Junior next year most likely to replace Landry Jones. We are pretty set at this position for a while, but who knows who will actually pan out.

Frustrating the depth OU is able to accumulate at QB.

Probably the same way they feel about us at RB, DB and DL.

Not trying to boast at all, but having two Heisman winning QB's in the last decade in the pass happy Big 12 helps with that.

But those positions require multiple players, and rotate consistently. Quarterback doesn't. Those guys are just going to be sitting on their asses praying to get a snap or two for the next few years.

That would seem to make depth even more important, right? Anyway, OU rotated QB's consistently last year depending on down and distance. I'm not sold Bell will ever be more than a situational guy.

I'm not dismissing the success OU has had at that position at all. Not just the numbers, but draft prospects as well.

Still frustrating from an LSU perspective though.

That's a stretch. We only put Bell in when he could walk it in from like the 5 yard line.

Understandable. Hopefully Mett is able to turn it around for y'all.

Exactly. Jones was the starter and threw the ball 562 times.

I'm elated to have Mett. Just irritated over our recruiting, or lack thereof, at this single position. And irritated how LA can't produce a quarterback to save its damn life.

Do you think he will eventually be able to be more than that (no flame, legitimately interested)?

I don't think I need to tell you this, but all LSU has been missing the last few years is the elite QB. You got close with Kiel last year, but you'd think more elite HS QB's would want to play around what LSU has built. It's a weird situation

Kiel absolutely screwed us.
