I really don't understand the love affair on here with Myles.

Fields is arguably the #1 QB in the country. If he came here and beat Brennan & Narcissce out then fine.

But to say, "Nooooopee we got Brennan y'all. Who needs the #1 QB in the nation? We good!!!"

It's just stupid. I swear Les Miles scared this fan base for life when it comes to QBs.

Agree 1000%, why would you not want just the #1 QB in the country but the #1 overall player in the country. Brennan may very well win the job, and even might against Fields, but I want the absolute best we can get...and Fields would certainly provide much better competition than Justin McMillian would.

It's almost like people forget poor QB recruiting is how we ended up with guys like Lindsey Scott Jr. and Justin McMillian as the only QBs in their respective classes.

I agree to a point.

1. Recruit 1 high level recruit every year.

2. However, all 3 players are still unknowns on a college level at this point in time.
Any jock riding at this time no matter which player it is is premature.

3. Also, why fans feel a need to talk down about a player that is own the LSU roster in order to build up a "recruit" has never made sense to me. Discuss each player according to there own merit.

We just aren't used to having more than one productive qb

Wait! What? This is permissible. I swore LSU Compliance ruled this is a potential NCAA violation.

Sorry hoss, 99% of the time your post would be spot on. Unfortunately for you guys Fields is the 1%. He and his dad have said they don't mind not starting right away. He's cool with a redshirt to learn the offense and then fighting it out. Other things are more important to him like being around family and schools having his choice of major. After saying all that... it's recruiting so who the heck knows.

You OBVIOUSLY have never seen Brennan play. You obviously have no idea how really good he is. You OBVIOUSLY have no idea how really good Narcisse is. If Field would happen to come to LSU he would most definitely red shirt his first year and would not play a single down until both Brennan and Narcisse are gone. Plus he and his family alresdy know this and that is why he is not coming to LSU. Would you advise your son to sign with a school 1 year behind two legitimate Elite 11, All American true freshmen? I did not think so!
