Is he really one of the best 50 players in the entire nation?

He holds the record for most touchdowns in Louisiana history (I believe), so yes he is a top 50 player. Though most recruiting sites will probably not look at him as a top 50 prospect. His performance is great, but rivals, scout, and 247 are looking for potential (especially size/speed ratio for runningbacks).

5* is a badge of honor and does not represent true potential. for ex. in 2011 la. had collins, freak, landry as concensus 5*. hill and obj were 4 * and had better careers at LSU. robinson was 4* and all 3 will be drafted before the 3 5* (if collins came out this year.

in 2009, LSU landed shepard, loston, davenport and randle as concensus 5* players. mingo, brockers, and claiborne had better careers and were drafted higher.

Aren't you so smart.

I see Guice getting his 5th star before Brosette does.

I don't care if the dude is a one star. If he is the best in the nation at his position, which he is, then I'll be more than happy to have him because that still means that everyone else is getting a worse back.

I don't really care tbh. He and Guice are elite RBs regardless what rankings say. Guice has elite explosiveness and Brosette has elite power. It's a true thunder and lightning duo.

To answer your question though, I think he lacks a 5* because he's probably not that fast. Not that IGAF about that. Who cares how fast you are when nobody can tackle you? I would say Guice shocks me at how violently he runs though. He's fast and explosive obviously but he seems to have really deceptive power. My concern with him is he runs so violent and pissed off injuries might be a problem for him in the future. I think Brossette just looks smoother running the ball. Like when he breaks tackles it's almost effortless. Guice is doing all kinds of jumps, spins and balance moves it makes me nervous seeing him take a hit...

What are you thoughts on Tyron Johnson receiving a fifth star?

IMO, he doesn't have to tools that Noil has and he doesn't have the size of Malachi. Don't get me wrong tho, I would drag my balls through a mile of broken glass to make sure he is a Tiger

Here is what he is fighting just on 247 he is ranked the 5th best RB in the country only the top 2 2015 RB's are 5 stars on top of he is ranked 53rd in the country and only the top 36 have 5 stars. So he is going to have to move up on both lists for him to receive a 5 star.
The good news is he has the summer and next year to do it.

In comparison 2014's class the 5 stars stop at the 32nd ranked recruit and the top 5 RB's all were 5 stars so he can do it, but he is going to have to move up the national board.

nic is a known commodity in that he has performed at a high level for a few years and has had big offers for a few years. with brumfield and the other ol leaving it will be tough for nic to have a better year. 5* will be tough unless, once again, its an all star game rise.
