They tackle pretty well....also helps when your D line is bigger than most division 3 colleges lol last week everyone thought riverside was going to be good coming in 12-0 and averaged 50 pts a game and Calvary skulldrug them 45-13

Pellerin is a great QB, fast, strong, live arm and smart. I'd love to see him win in the dome but however Calvary is on a completely different level team wise. They've beaten top ranked 4a and 5a schools

CHSNI has already beat Teurlings (QB Kelly), Patterson, and Notre Dame which are ALL very respectable tough teams and are in a larger divison/class than CHSNI. CHSNI "should" have won last year and outplayed Calvary only to have Calvary win by a point.

Can Calvary withstand 4 quarters of a 6'5" 230 pound QB who can really move and pound the ball. CHSNI will run, run, run and then run some more to balance not having Patterson have the ball as much. CHSNI defense must not be underestimated, they are VERY stout. Will be a dogfight and I expect another close score with maybe special teams deciding the outcome.

Calvary also beat West Monroe, Parkway, and Riverside...people said the same thing about riverside who averaged 50 pts a game and only allowed like 21 and Calvary manhandled them. I don't believe it'll be a blowout but Calvary is just really stout...over 10 players with division 1 offers. Shun brown #11 at receiver (who got MVP of Deion sanders DB camp) will be the best player on the field I promise....runs a 4.4 and had over 200 yards rushing alone last week as a receiver and also have one of the best running backs in the state Orlando Bradford. So don't get me wrong Shea Patterson is great but it's not him you have to worry about. Should be a really fun game to watch! Can't wait!

Don't get too pumped up by beating Newman. Didn't they lose to Riverside by 40+ ? CNI will be outmanned at every position. They are good because of their system. This will be the 4th year in a row Calvary has faced their head coach. He hasn't slowed down Calvary yet and this is their best offensive group. If Calvary gets up quick, CNI is not built to come from behind. Should be a good one but Calvary has to be the favorite. Parkway, West Monroe, LaGrange, Midland Christian are all better than Patterson, Notre Dame (pretty sure they had a bunch of starters suspended), and a jamboree against Tuerlings.

As good as I believe Pellerin is, the Wing T doesn't do much for his college evaluation. Hell, he threw one pass last night.

Catholic ran the ball for 545 yards and 8 TDs. They didn't need to throw the ball.

I'd take anything Indest says with a grain of salt. He is a complete tool.

To question Indest, who has been one of the Acadiana area's most successful coaches, is the one of the most asinine things. He's taken every school he's coached at to the playoffs, some that hadn't been in a long time before his arrival and is now taking his alma mater for the first time in 52 years to the state final.

Lagrange, parkway, and midland Christian are not close to tuerlings, Patterson, or Norte dame. Lol what a joke tuerlings lost barely lost to Rummel and CHNI literally ran at will on tuerlings and shut them out in the 30 min that they played. I think it will be a close game and that CHNI will need to throw in order to keep them honest and Calvary is probably the favorite but that statement was so dumb that I had to post lol.

Any football person with 1/2 a brain will tell you that Parkway(2013 Dome 5A finalist), Midland Christian(27 game winning streak in Tx private school league snapped by Calvary), Byrd( 2013 Dome finalist and #1 seed in 5A in 2014), LaGrange(#10 seed in 4A in 2014), and West Monroe( 5A semis and still playing. Calvary first Shreveport team to win at WM since 2002) is much better than Ver Catholic, Erath, ED White, Notre Dame, and Patterson. Any 4A or 5A studs on that list. I would rank Riverside ahead of all them. CNI is a good team but you look foolish when you try and compare schedules. And by the way, jamborees are not real games.

barely lost to Rummel

no sir... I was at that game and that game was over quick...Tuerlings had no answer for rummel as keeping the ball from them was about it...not as close as the score-which i was surprised but really rummel had them reeling most of contest.

newman is not close to CHSNI, even if they had acouple injuries back in the line up (bussey)....CHSNI is really a good bit btr. from the 2 times ive seen newman...Acouple CHSNI boosters said it was their, "worse start in years" of last fridays game...idk...However i was not that impressed with Pellerins throwing capabilities....he is not very accurate and i didnt notice him going through progressions well, as he has a run first mentality which is inline with their O...so it should be much improved going forward...but shite i only saw him throw it acouple times... nevertheless, the kid is very physical and runs hard on the fd....i believe he was a converted qb?? idk, poss. rec hands guy at one time....so his keen ability to see the fd open up when mking plays is pretty good.....im looking forward to the battle friday it should be good....best 1 of the day.. 2 really good qbs

I thought Pellerin was the team's 3rd leading rusher? So he is all of a sudden going to run the ball 25 times? From what I've seen Calvary needs to worry about Bellefontaine and Pierre.

He is not a converted WR. He played QB throughout Jr High and threw more passes in the 8th grade than many QB throw in HS. Ran the spread. He play QB in JV and threw threw threw. Again spread offense. He played WR his Freshman and Soph year for varsity. But in both years he played a ton of JV QB. He was a converted QB who played WR. He played QB his entire Junior year and his entire Senior year.

Pellerin came up as a QB but moved to WR because CHS had All-State QB Joe Lissard who signed with Tulane but has since transferred.

Wasn't he an All State WR his sophomore year? I thought I read an article where his coach was quoted as saying that. Pellerin is everything Dak was in high school with a more athletic build and more speed. It's obvious the coaches at LSU want to believe they have big passing potential, but honestly, this is the type of kid they should be interested in for the near future at least. Patterson would change everything in a couple of years though and that is the stance of the LSU staff I believe.

Very unlikely Patterson ends up at LSU.

May I ask how you came about that assumption? Do you know Shea or his family personally?

Lizzard planned to commit to Houston then walked on at McNeese St. Never signed with Tulane or had an offer there.

smh he was not an All State WR. Made all district.
He has played QB since he was 7 years old.
