In the future. If we get Leo Lewis and next year Joyner. And with us having Clifton. That's 2 great middle linebackers. Is there any chance one could okay an OLB role. Or is one of then just going to have to out preform the other

Just a tidbit about Joyner who plays at Havelock HS in eastern NC. I have seen him play twice, and he is indeed a physical specimen. With that said he is not as active as you would expect a player of his size, and does not seem to play upfield or around the ball making initial contact. Might be their scheme, but when you see him, see his rankings, but then watch him play....dots don't seem to connect. He would definitely need some Col LB pos coaching to take it to the next level, but heck so do most highly rated recruits. He plays OLB, and even some TE around the goal line (jump ball).

Core actually works. It could have been the intention of the OP to refer to the center which the corps surrounds.

I haven't looked at everybody, but Keion Joyner looks exactly like what his rank is, a top 5 player in the country. Dude is amazing and a freak athlete.

Between these 2 classes we are gonna need 6-8 LBs. We are in bad shape depthwise after next year. Only Beckwith, Garrett, Alexander and Riley will be back. If Beckwith blows up he may even be out. Hope Steele is as good as his rep

To my knowledge Clifton Garrett is more of a MLB specialist (if you would). Is it crazy to think that we might be better off inserting CG at MLB next year and consider moving Beckwith (who is faster and more athletic) to outside linebacker? Just a thought.
