So his MO is start a site, build it up, sell it, start over again?

Looks like Billy Embody is the LSU guy.

If people are willing to keep paying a lot of money for the same product, I don't know why he would stop.

Imagine doing thr same thing basically 3x and hitting it big all 3 times.

Instead of revamping a current product he just makes a "new" one, takes some guys/content creators from previous one and gets probably the same subscriber base people just to pay more money.

Good looking site. Articles about teams are dated but I'm sure more will come as more readers or fans start looking at the site.

247sports is a lot more catchy than on3. It's not only on3.com it's dev.on3.com.. something like that.

They're doing a full year sub for $10 to attract customers, might do it since its so cheap.

Imo it's pretty messed up to do that. I love capitalism, but that's screwing over the people you sold to and are currently running the 247 websites.

It’s their fault for not negotiating in a non-compete agreement with the purchase

Nah. I recruited some guys, from one of the huge consulting companies, to start - and partially own - a business that competes with their former company (in one small sector). Their old two-up boss saw them at a trade show and told them that if they can get the company to a certain size he would buy it from them. He would be perfectly happy for them to keep starting companies and he would keep buying them. It’s an easy way for him to grow his group.
