O would do a lot of good for all by visiting Brennan ASAP

Fences need to be mended regardless of where Myles Brennan ends up. This situation has become one about character. It was handled poorly based upon nothing set in stone and O needs to show up hat-in-hand to demonstrate that he understands the implications of his comments and actions and make things right. How this was handled and is handled going-forward will mean much more than simply this one recruit.

I imagine the staff is going to visit Myles more than a couple of times before NSD.

Who's to say Myles wasn't already looking and O was trying to hedge his bets. I mean Myles was quick to say he was looking else where. We are not in the recruiting meeting and aren't talking to the kids ourselves. Let's think about this the other QB LSU is after has torn his ACL twice, what are the chances of him doing it again. The guys most likely going to sit a year and rehab and my not even attend LSU. Nobody is a sure bet until that letter is fax in on national signing day. Until then kids can change their mind and schools can change their minds on a recruit. Let's let the thing play out.

didn't he already try to schedule one and the family was at a banquet (in Starkville or something??) so they rescheduled?

Actually I thinks he was or is scheduled to visit this weekend. That's what read in a report 3 days ago. Same report said he would be visiting Lowell narciasse

Why not let pros do what pros do?

Myles wasn't looking. If LSU was going to offer other QB's he might as well listen to other offers... the kid didn't even want to duck hunt with his cousin this weekend because he was pretty ate up about it. LSU is where he truly wants to be. He also wants to play ball, if LSU doesn't want him, he might as well keep his options open so he knows what's out there if LSU doesn't work out. If the school can do it, I don't have a problem with the player doing it.

I'll say first that this doesn't fit exactly and is most definitely apples and oranges...
but I remember when all the eggs were in the Felipe Franks basket and we were all pissed about Miles/Cam not having a plan B (myself included). Noting for a while everyone thought Franks was a lock (with many affirmations by him on twitter).
The reason these two situations don't quite line up, admittedly, is because Cam continued the same course after Franks' visit to UF were there was a lot of smoke about him flipping. In the Brennan case, no smoke, not even a wisp, at this point.
My point is, where is that line timewise. If you wait too late you're on the outside looking in for a Plan B. If you are early, maybe they went another direction and it wasn't going to happen anyway.

Agree. Didn't like the way it went down either, especially considering they told him a two QB class, and the kid never wavered or entertained other schools.

No. The head coach of LSU does not need to go groveling like a little bitch.

Who said anything about groveling? It's about honor and simply walking the talk.

Totally agree with you, the kid has shown nothing but loyalty, class and integrity. This situation would be different if he was our only commitment for this class but he isn't and we are returning a starting qb along with a couple of other pretty decent qbs on roster. He's sharp and I'm pretty sure he could adapt well to what kiffin would want to implement on offense if he ends up our oc.

Do we know that Brennan hasn't been contacted. Could very well be he is looking around because he WAS contacted and given an honest heads up on the direction the offense was going to be headed.
