Louisiana is 2nd in the country in per capita D-1 players at about 1 in every 46000 people. Miss. is 1st with about 1 in every 42000 people. Thats pretty impressive. The south rules with football talent.

Take the top 15 from this list and look at it per capita (based on 2008 est population)

MS - 1 per 42608
LA - 1 per 46914
FL - 1 per 52976
GA - 1 per 56667
TX - 1 per 60522
AL - 1 per 65633
OH - 1 per 72264
SC - 1 per 78596
MD - 1 per 97068
VA - 1 per 98354
CA - 1 per 124189
NC - 1 per 133623
PA - 1 per 148214
MI - 1 per 153846
IL - 1 per 208064

Explains why the SEC dominates football.

I'll take another look and figure out the BCS school LOI's per capita per state because even this is close but still can be a little misleading.

I never would of thought that many. Are most of them from the ATL area? Also all those numbers make my dizzy.
