Wow...your ignorance is amazing. Among the ones you mention the one that is interesting is Ferguson. LSU had a choice...Ferguson or Bert Jones...they made the right one.

I didn't think people from South Louisiana worried about where kids from up here in North Louisiana go to school. As far as I can tell, they don't even think of us as a being from Louisiana in the first place. From Alexandria north we might as well secede and form a new State. How about a North and South Louisiana.

While making these lists, it's important to realize who LSU had or got instead.
Most meaningful post of the whole thread.
And just to add to that, sometimes things were just out of LSU's control. Can't believe Warrick Dunn hasn't been mentioned yet as a South LA miss (or Travis Minor and Major Applewhite), his personal situation was such that it was a good move for him to get out of BR.

Not even top 5 of guys that LSU missed on from South LA. Pretty scary huh?
Top 5 misses from South LA:
1. Peyton Manning
2. Marshall Faulk
3. Eli Manning
4. Ed Reed
5. Reggie Wayne
I could see Dunn over Wayne, but that's the only one he has an argument over.

Hard to wrap my brain around that list, it's just crazy to think what could have been.
But truthfully, I think the in-state losses have not been the same under Miles since before he was here. It's not something I would credit him entirely with but I believe it was a process that began with Dinardo getting Kevin Faulk and grew from that point. Saban built on it and Miles continued.
