Folks who know, what's going on with this dude?

Just enjoying the process? Suspect? Chest issues? Money talks?

It's one thing when an attention whore Nola kid bolts, another when somebody from LSU's laboratory school declines an opportunity to play football for LSU in favor of someplace else.

LSU has a lot of talented backs. Main reason he may not be 100 percent is less playing time at LSU.

I feel he stays in BR. The alternative is Texas which is away from home and pretty much have the same rb depth as LSU.

Uh, disagree with the depth chart at Texas. LSU's depth chart right now at RB after adding Ducre and Guice to Fourette and D Williams is much more formidable than Texas' up to this point. Neither of UT's RB commits this year are that highly ranked...one is like 208th on Rivals. And LSU has better returning RBs. I think Brossette flips to Texas due to the depth chart at LSU. But I agree with everyone that Texas' program right now is the pits!

Da fuq? LSU has Fournette and Williams from this past class, plus Guice and Ducre from this class. If Ducre goes FB, Brossette would be part of a 4 man rotation for at least the next 2 years. I don't see anything like that on Texas' roster.

As Tiger fans we all need to get behind him in support. He's a great kid and deserves to have the full passion of the fans on his side. I think he should join LSU, possibly red shirt, then he still has plenty of eligibility after LF moves on. We are putting all our marbles into Guice and Ducre but the truth is Brossette is every bit as good and can step right in and compete. I also think he gets plenty of opportunity to prepare himself for the NFL and he won't be spent from mileage. I Can see him taking on an Alfred Blue type role and we all know Blue is very successful with the Texans.

I can see Williams and Ducre taking on more of a FB roll rotation. This would put Brossette into a 3 man rotation with LF and Guice. That's a winning combo right there.

If he's looking to be the featured back then I dont think LSU or Texas is the right fit.

0 chance I would put Williams in a FB role. That dude will be an NFL RB.

Talent wise yes LSU is better, but I was talking in terms of numbers.

Charlie Strong likes to utilize a two back system (similar to what Saban has been doing since Richardson leff). I could see Chris Warren (that's if they get him) and Brossette being a one-two punch.
I want to see how Brossette stacks up in the LSU backfield however.

Coreect , the numbers are actually in our favor by one assuming Texas lands Warren or Jamabo. Also correct none of Texas' backs are on the level of LF but Gray is still there(he's good when healthy) plus Catalon on top of at least 3 in this class maybe 4-5. There is some heavy selling going on with Texas and you have to give them credit. With our history of rotating they have to be throwing their other backs under the bus. He'd play here immediately even if in a rotation. Likely the same there but our OL is much better. I keep going back to the LF factor and its the only thing that makes sense unless he's just looking to get out of BR

With the recent departure of Melvin Jones, we need him more than ever in my opinion. They could move Williams and Durce to fullback and have Fornette, Guice, and Brossette at RB. He could see significant carries being 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart.
