JT is no one's back up plan. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he ends up rated higher than Simon. JT has positioned himself to be the 3rd RB taken by LSU.

We've seen freshman running backs at LSU make significant strides to help the team. If they have the skills for early impact, you simply don't pass that up. RBs don't last long in the NFL for a reason. If LSU can sell the fact that the RB will be a feature along with not leaving a potential pro future on the field, it's a win-win for the team and the recruit. If you have confidence in our RB coaches, then there shouldn't be a concern here.

I don't think Wiltfong has anything to do with ratings/rankings/scouting. There are many people at 247 who do both scouting and reporting but I think Wiltfong covered so much ground reporting on stuff that he was basically just a reporter.
