He also CB'd Markevius Bryant (or however it's spelled) to LSU, which I would be very okay with.

I guess we should stop recruiting him from that CB. Even though we are still recruiting him according to recent NOLA article D.Smith is one the few top WR uncommitted. If we concede Bama will get 3 5* receivers Juedy,Ruggs, and Smith if we don't put up a fight. That wall is transparent around LA.for Bama. I guess Nick thinks LA stands for Lower Alabama sad. O needs to hurry up an build that wall quickly.

Doesn't that guy only weight like 160? I realize there's room to grow in college, but a WR putting on 40 lbs in a short period of time doesn't sound like it'd be good for his agility or speed. I'm not doubting his potential, but he seems like more of a project player to me.

He is no project player,it would do him good to add weight but he is a great route runner and dynamic with the ball in his hands after the catch.

At 160 against HS competition. That could change at 200. There's no way a guy can put on 40 lbs quickly and maintain the same agility. Somebody will break him if he doesn't gain at least 25 lbs. He won't even sniff the field until then.

There's zero chance he plays as a freshman at Bama

I don't doubt he will end up being good, but I won't be shocked if he ends up being a kid who was a product of 7-on-7 and camp hype if he can't put on weight

Watch him play and you be the judge, you will get a chance next year to see him when we play bama.

Exactly people act like OBJ was a lot bigger. Dude is a player no need to bash him.
Nico Collins would be a great grab right about now.

Desean Jackson did pretty well in the NFL at about 175lbs and Tyron Johnson was a getting lots of playing time as a freshman but transferred after being benched for his laziness (not his ability).

Yea I can see that as well Tyron was a hell of a receiver you could see the potential his freshman year. they are both great route runners.

I think he will have a bright year this upcoming year if they have a qb that can get him the ball, as I believe Rudolph declared

How exactly am I bashing him? I'm saying he needs to gain a significant amount of weight. I don't believe he'll play as a freshman. How is that perceived as bashing him? He needs to gain weight. That's the bottom line. 6'1" 160 is a stick in the SEC. He'll get hurt at that weight. DeSean Jackson is only 175 but only 5'10". He can afford to weigh less in a more compact frame.

OBJ was 170 and 5'10". 10 more pounds on a more compact frame. Apples to oranges. Height/weight ratio has a lot to do with it. It's not all about weight alone.

I wasn't refrerring to you "bashing" him. I've seen it on here a lot not specific to this thread exclusively.
I was just about to say the same thing as your second post that he is taller so it looks worse on him than OBJ.
It's all good my dude
