God, him and Tom Wort (who had a much more successful college career at least) were two of my favorite highlight reels growing up. Those two just demolished kids.

I like the Perryman comparison and he was another that I was pissed that decided to stay in state. Gionni Paul is another that's kind of like Leroy

I'll wager Austin Thomas has something to do with this.

quote:

His duties included player evaluation, managing recruiting events, maintaining the LSU recruiting database and overall management of the current roster.

quote:

Said Orgeron: "Austin is a great evaluator. He spends countless hours devouring film and is highly organized when gathering information on a player. From talent identification and evaluation, to connecting with the players and managing all of their visits, Austin runs all of it. He's the main reason for our recruiting success."

This kid played with many different jersey numbers.

He looks solid and with a 3.9 GPA I think he is what Aranda is looking for.

Don't care about rankings - film looks great and we need some strong ILBers

They guy is a smart player who is that enforcer type LB in the middle. Two or three national analyst for 247 said this kid was really a diamond in the rough type kid who would have 15 to 20 offers right now if he lived near a major city. Hes just one of these kids who lives out in the boonies that a lot of people dont get a chance to see.

3.9 GPA for a MLB. Make's sense. He seems like a gym rat, brings the lunch pale, and is a coach on the field!!!

This. He looks like he's about 5/10 but he's a wrecking ball for sure.

Well if you read the article:

1) He has a 3.9 GPA. - smart and studies "lunch pale kid"
2) He benched 405 and is a shot put track athlete. - works out a lot like in the gym
3) Aranda noticed him from film - liked by the coach

Lsu needs these kinds of players at their key leader positions. He plays smart and takes the best angle, very aware. Awareness is key to a great player and arguably the attribute most needed on the field especially defense. Can cause more TO's and negative plays. And yes he's not very tall but who cares a guy named T. Mathieu wasn't very tall either??

Well the video they saw is from last Fall. They need to see the kid in person more than six months later before finalizing that offer. What if the kid put on 40 bad pounds since the season? You wouldn't date a chick solely on her online dating profile without meeting her in person would you?

He is a shot putter and discus guy in track. He is busy all year long. Oh , he is. 400lb bench press guy. I don't think bad weight is an issue.

Like others have said, really about 5'10. Hopefully he hits a growth spurt and gets a couple inches of height. If he was 6'2-6'3, he would be a 4* or 5* recruit.
