Fact is until we get a new head coach, recruiting is going to be somewhat of a mess with a lot of uncertainty.

I expect a lot of the defensive staff to stay on, so those guys won't change.

The offensive staff will only get better, and while relationships will need to be built, the opportunities for guys to come in and play will be very apparent.

if you are a national recruit, and have tied your coattails to CC, then you would have been another in a long list of CC failures.

We will bring in a coach that will get way more out of Narcisse than Cameron ever would have.

But if he thinks he can go to a school with the prestige of LSU after his two injuries more power to him. LSU was pretty damn loyal to him.

With Brennan on board we won't be hurting either way, but I think Narcisse has the ability to be a star for his home state school, if he chooses

2 season ended injuries in back to back years. I Wouldn't be slowing playing scholarships if I were him.

This was my thought as well.

He needs to be very careful how he handles this. If he "opens up his recruitment" any guarantee he had is gone...even if he decides the LSU hire is satisfactory to him.

Now, maybe the staff will think that he's a take no matter what. But, given his injury history, I don't think it makes sense for him to test the waters openly.

Obviously if LSU lands someone like Herman or Briles I think he'll likely stay since he fits that style of offense better than Myles does. The key to him choosing to switch to LSU was due to his relationship with Cam. After suffering his initial ACL tear, Cam (who happened to be in attendance at the spring game) was at the hospital with him, not Auburn. When he hurt himself in the state championship game, Cam went with him to the hospital in Thibodaux, not Auburn. When his father died, Cam and his wife came to the funeral, not Auburn. I was there for him, not Auburn.

I think Narcisse would be an absolute monster in the offenses of several of the guys mentioned as candidates.

Don't blame Narcisse at all, but never choose a school because of a coach. It's to much of a big business today. Let it play out. See who LSU gets in December.

Hard to imagine anyone would be tied in with Cameron, imo. Nothing Ive seen would give me that impression but I guess behind the scenes its a different ballgame.

I remember reading somewhere that Cameron was the first coach to visit Narcisse in the hospital after his first ACL injury, when he was still committed to Auburn. He was also there for him in the wake of his father's death, so yeah, I could see how Cam not being at LSU could affect his decision somewhat.

I think he would be wise to reaffirm his commitment at this time, regardless of his intentions. He doesn't owe LSU any courtesies, and guess what, they don't owe him anything either.

He has blown out both wheels and missed more games than he has played. I hope he recovers and never misses a beat, and I really mean that, but somebody sensible better give him a heads up about the word leverage and how it relates to his particular situation.

You should probably temper your expectations and turn them to hope... All bets are off on the staff (including the defense).

Don't get me wrong. I hope like hell that the new guy can somehow keep both Aranda & O. But that's going to be tougher now that O has leap-frogged his boss. And if you require the new guy to keep anyone on staff, then you're only limiting the ability to bring in the absolute best available HC.

You make a good point. He was really close to Cam.

Narcisse can go elsewhere in he wants. It's up to him!

At this point in time I'd think that Auburn is probably his favorite, since he already knows their staff very well and he'd have the chancd to play as a freshman. Of course that all goes out the window if Gus gets fired.
