Said it’s a guy that has ties to the staff- Renfro was the starting center for Cincinnati.
Renfro started 7 games as a true freshman in 2020, started every game in 2021 and was all-AAC. Named to preseason Outland watch list. Missed all of 2022 with a camp knee injury.

I sure hope so. We have a long way to go though. We’ve been getting physically dominated so here’s to hoping a transfer or two + an off-season in the S&C program puts us in a better place going into next year.

Campbell and Jones are studs. Dellinger had a rough year with injuries but we know he’s solid and worst. Frazier and Shorts will have another year in the program and Bradford finally took a big step.

Shorts is done, I think.
The Renfro guy is a perfect fit, because you just can't get there with Turner. Too small and just not physical enough. He gets pushed back into the QB over and over again.
The line as a whole is likely to be really good next year, but you need somebody who can be a rock in the middle. Renfro knows Denbrock, so that could be a perfect fit.
I want Hathaway, the cornerback at Cincinnati, as well. He's another guy who's a perfect fit for us.

DE/OLB is a big need. You basically played 3 all season, and 2 are (likely) leaving. Everyone else at that spot has little to no experience.

Turner is adequate against lesser talent. NFL caliber DT’s are too much for him.
My biggest roster concerns for next year are corner and DT. LSU needs portal guys at both positions. This incoming HS class has zero DT’s at this point, which is very concerning. Roy may be the most important guy currently on the roster to re-recruit to stay one more year.
The Cincy C and CB would be great.

Shorts was a true freshman in 2017. He’s already redshirted and is in his Covid 6th year. He’s done.
