A&M had 2 highly touted centers signed in 2015, and 1 for 2016.
LSU had 0 in 2015 and 1 JUCO for 2016 (Reath).
He would be guaranteed much more playing time here.

Elijah Thomas transferred and Robert Williams is power forward. Doesn't have to do with playing time. More to do with the fact that the guy who was recruiting him, Rick Stansbury, left. That and he probably feels he made a decision way too quickly.

From what I hear he's a pretty simple kid. Doesn't seem like the type to go to a prep school or glamorize the recruiting process.
