They looked about the same in the Army game - film evaluation would be more accurrate. Whichever LB'er got stuck playing behind RJ Washington was going to be in trouble since all he did was speed rush outside/upfield.

Mauti couldn't and didn't want to wait for an LSU offer.....

It's not LSU's or MM's fault.....plus he got to go to his dad's school.

so Mauti had better weight room numbers so he is a better football player..... idiot

No thats not what i was saying dumbass. MM is a better player imo, but for all the people that go by the rankings they were the same except for the weight room. So when you have a tie imo why not give it to the in state kid.

Both players didn't look too good in the AA game. They had a game plan but some kids did their own thing and missed assignments or didn't stay home when needed. RJ Washington comes to mind, all he wanted to do was rush the QB and leave his LB's in trouble by creating space for shifty runners like Star and TP to expose the gaps.

Both Prater and Mauti (SP) had great weeks of practice though. Both are hitters for sure. Prater did run a 4.5 forty in the presence of the OU coaches for what it's worth.

He did look lost out there at times but I thought it was due to the circumstances of the situation rather than an indictment of his future ability.

I agree with you...that's why I said not quite ready...as in stepping in and contributing right away...in two years he could definitely be a player.

For what it is worth the STM coach has seen, coached, and played against some very good kids over the years, including Jacob C. After they played Mandeville in the playoffs he said that MM was the best high school player he has ever coached against and one of the top he has ever seen.

He's coach at STM. He will say that about any team they play. You honestly think Mauti is a better player than kevin faulk (he coached against) coming out of high school? Granted, I would have loved to have an instate kid like Mauti, but he won't make or break LSU. I hope he has a great career at Penn State.....

No he's not and you can't buy a 40 time. What part of his Brother & Father BOTH played at Penn State are you not understanding?

Thank you for adding something new to the discussion Captain Obvious.

Well, you are certainly welcome random f*ck. I look forward to further bullsh*t posts like: "Gee, I wonder why Peyton or Eli Manning didn't attend LSU?"

Anybody that thinks Prator is faster than Mauti wasn't watching the same AllAmerican game (or whatever it's called) that I was watching. And I am talking about "football speed." Mauti was much faster/quicker. Regardless, he was going to Penn State.

What are you talking about? I see a thread about a player that I know and I posted what I knew.

Oh and to answer your post, according to people as ignorant as you, if a recruit's dad didn't go to a particular school then the kid would never even consider going there. Talk about the most random post ever...the Mannings? Seriously dude?
