Meh. I hope they focus on the big fish we are already after, and let the Miami class be.

I'd be more worried about Miami going after coach O than us going after their recruits

We don't throw to slot receivers.

That's my favorite recruit of theirs by far...doesn't appear to have any interest in us, but that kid is a baller. Killed it in some camps. Reminds me of Landry.

This...Miami is a lot more attractive than South Carolina

Meh - it was. Ed O is 54 years old. While he is highly regarded as a recruiter and DL coach, his 10-25 record at Ole Miss has to stand out when he applies for any vacancy. The team actually got worse while he was there - so his skills as an assistant coach did not translate.

His interim stint at USC was admirable - but it was an interim stint, period.

I'm not saying he will "never" have an opportunity to be a head coach again, but the combination of opportunity and suitability may just never come back around. I take him at his word when he says he's settling his family in Louisiana.

Now, if Tulane wants him at some point? He might look at that job if the money is right.

Miami is not more attractive than SC, not even close. Miami has no home campus stadium and the city itself is full of crime. The fan turn out is crap. That program will never return to its former level even with the talent rich recruits in the area.
