Terry created Rivals, who btw were bad when he was there and after;one analyst admitted to the Bama bump in a national thread, sold it and created 247 who were gonna put them out of business. Still yet to happen. Doubt it happens with 247 either. In <5 years he'll sell ON3 and do it again. Rinse and repeat.

The issue with all of them is that they actually believe any of them will change the perception of bias when they keep recycling the same analysts. It's getting as bad as NFL and NBA coaching hires. Need new blood that arent already tarnished by past bias perceptions. Particularly at the top(head of recruiting not Terry)

I am sure with his recruiting at its peak right now that Mathews actually told 247 fraud of a recruiting site that he is “torn”. These nitwits have to put some bullschit out there for their subscribers to read.

Those sorry mofos at 247, Rivals, etc talk more and say less than anyone but a politician. Anyone paying money for this “inside scoop” is being taken.

I think so too, 247 feeling the pressure. You should see the TikTok they posted about their bias to Bama

That was fricking disgusting man. I’m not sure who he is but he takes every single listener for an absolute fool. His entire argument revolved around:

A. The fact that all of these Bama guys get bumps right before signing day is somehow offset by the fact that they don’t get bumps before the draft or national championship....? Like that somehow matters? Just a really weird argument on his end

B. Then he proceeds to contradict his “we don’t bump Bama players spiel” by freely admitting that they bump them because Bama has such “great talent evaluation” and that their 5*’s get drafted at “such a high rate” like both of those things are solely due to the players’ natural talent and not the fact that the players are surrounded by the most talent, best coaches, and perform on a bigger stage than any other team. Why doesn’t he use those 5* draftees actual on-field performance in the NFL rather than their draft status as a metric of ranking Bama commits higher? Because most of those 5*’s are overrated, overdrafted, and bust in the NFL possibly?

Just gross fricking open bias from a shite company. I hope On3 runs them straight into the ground after seeing that. I will never view a single page in 247 ever again after watching that TikTok

And to continue on my last post, if 247 goes off of draft position year over year, why haven’t our 3* and 4* DB commits been getting huge bumps? We’ve had so many lower ranked DB’s get drafted in the top 5 rounds since 2010 it’s not even funny. I’d assume that “NFLSU” and our huge amount of NFL draftees would qualify our players for the same bump, right?

I’ve never seen such a desperate, blatant lie to justify shitty business practices as that TikTok. I get that I’m on a roll but holy shite

I cancelled mine 3 years ago and I haven’t once thought “I wish I still had my 247 sub”. There isn’t any info on their message boards that doesn’t trickle to TD, their “insiders” don’t post anything noteworthy, and it’s generally a waste of $200 a year

Yeah I know. He's also the coach for a team that is trying to go to the Super Bowl this weekend. I'm not mad about it. I'd much rather him be recruiting for LSU, I don't care about the Chiefs. I'm just saying usually coaches aren't taking several hours out of their day to fly across the country 24 hours before a conference championship.

It would be tight, but the work for this weekend's game is all done. They would have a walkthrough sometime today. He could fly out after the walkthrough, spend a couple of hours in BR and then fly back.

I love it when he talks about 5* from Bama going in 1st round...at 40+%

Then he lumps everyone else together to water down that #

It's smoke and mirrors....if you lump Bama with everyone else, the team with the 2nd highest % would be #1

I just come to TD to find out things when needed. I cannot imagine paying a nickel for some guys random guesses

Jesus dude. He gave you the facts why they did it. They admitted bias because there's no wrong in what they do. They backed it up with data. Basically, "we know nothing and trust Bama's evaluations because it's safe and usually right". That's what he admitted to. It's pretty staggering the rate at which they put 1st round picks 5* players compared to the rest of the NCAA and he backed it up with the facts. Bama is better than everyone else at development and evaluations deal with it. Not a coincidence they have destroyed NCAA past 14 or so years.

This board is more obsessed with Bama than Bama fans themselves. Sickening is your obsession with Bama and how y'all constantly bring it to this board. You're like a Stockholm victim who can't admit their abuser beat the shite out of them all the time.

Their 5 stars are picked in the first rate at a percentage of 48.8%.

Yeah, and rest of NCAA combined is like 17%. That's ridiculous. I guess they would Bama bump anyone they see because you're probably going to be right in doing so.

They talk about all other teams combined. I wonder what LSU’s percentage is. I bet it is higher than 17%

Bama bias isn’t really the point. You completely glossed over the real issue here, and it’s that 247 doesn’t know shite and charges subscribers a lot of money for the privilege of their flawed insight. They are leaning on a few staffs (and ignoring others they should also pay attention to) because they don’t know and miss on a ton of evaluations. Why pay for something you can track for free?

The other problem with this is that the 247 brass also wants to then also stand back and say they are somehow objective. They clearly aren’t, and even if it’s only an indirect benefit, it does help to feed the Bama machine. They aren’t the only program putting guys in the league and finding players they blow evals on.

That actually seems like a pretty solid percentage for them.

That's not their problem if people are dumb enough to subscribe to them. Lol at paying for information in 2022 with the internet.
