He was apparently waiting to see if he was drafted in the first 2 rounds...

Great news, I can't wait to see this kid pitch!! Is it selfish of me to want Bradley and Godfrey too?

Rounds don't matter. He could be drafted in the 10th round and still get the 2 million bonus he's asking for.

His family is pretty wealthy by all accounts. It's not like he doesn't know what you just posted. if that factored in, he wouldn't be tweeting about how excited he is to be going to LSU.

I think it's more of a pride thing at this point. He wants to be a first rounder.

Poche on Friday and Marshall on Saturday makes me believe that we win a lot of weekend series.

Series wins are nice but lets hope we can finally find a reliable Sun guy instead of using this years "Johnny Wholestaff" again.

I think between Newman, Bouman, and Cartwright one of those guys will emerge. Maybe even Bugg if he can make the transition. But I like him more in an extended reliever role.

Amazing how our pitching is about to go from insanely thin to an embarrassment of riches.

With an abundance of pitching next year, what is everyone's opinion on CPM's development of a 4th starter. The past few season's we have seen an inning or two for everyone in the midweek games but having a reliable 4th starter who can go 5 or 6 innings proves valuable in the case of injuries, the SEC tournament, and regionals. Do we continue to see the Johnny Wholestaff approach on midweek games or will CPM decide on a fourth starter?

Interesting topic. The thing is with the roster limits these days, the guys that you would probably use as a 4th starter may be more valuable to on an SEC weekend.
