Thinking Ahead: Our 3 WR sets could be similar to that of the Green Bay Packers next year with Malachi Dupre (James Jones) Trey Quinn (Jordy Nelson) not just b/c of race but actual talent/production and Speedy Noil (Randall Cobb)

I see you're very imaginative with comparisons. Go back to lurking.

I actually agree with the TQ/JN comparison. Hands is all that matter.

Think about this.

And then think of this....

both of those boys have incredible hands. Color excluded I like the comparison.

All 3 of those guys don't start.

You have Leslie Dural diarse probably Brazil. Among others. Not gonna start 3 freshman

I really think Dupre starts. And Noil might not start, but will play a lot and we will find ways to get him the ball. Quinn will see PT too.

Dural will start though. Thats pretty evident.

But, Dupre, Noil, and Quinn are all better than Leslie and Diarse right now IMO.

And ill compare for the OP: Dupre = AJ Green. Noil = Percy. Quinn = Reggie Wayne. Best WR corp EVER.

come on man. How can you make that statement? typical new is always better thought. Diarse is an amazing athlete. Noil isnt much different that brazil talent wise and he is not world class speed.

dont you think just maybe while Cam has helped improve the offense so much that the guys like Diarse and Leslie might be getting a lot better and ready to play??

to say that Quinn etc are already better is a joke. Noil doesnt even play WR so there will be a learning curve

Diarse was one of the most sought after recruits on this board the second he dominated his freshman year at Neville. Saban was dying for this kid and everyone on here was pissing their pants thinking this great WR(which he is) was leaving...now the white kid from barbe and the speedy QB from Karr are way better. Fwiw, we already have Noil on the team, his name is Jeryl Brazil.

Typical droppings

First off Brazil wont play WR for us. Hes either a RB or a CB. So you can throw that out the window.

I can make that statement because its what I think and its my opinion. I mean people make the statement that LF is our best RB on the team right now besides Hill, and nobody thinks its crazy.

Noil plays 65% of his snaps at QB, the rest he plays WR. So its not like hes never played the spot before like Shep. And he was playing WR in all of the 7on7s, camps, showcases, etc. and he tore it up. I mean how can some sites have him as a top 15 player in the country as a WR, yet he doesnt really play it that much? And Noil and Brazil are completely diff. Brazil is straight line world class track speed. Speedy will be in the 4.4s, but can move side to side like Percy Harvin. Hes extremely shifty and slippery with the ball in his hands and is damn near impossible to tackle. And rarely in football do you run straight. Brazil is faster, no doubt. But when it comes to talent wise in football with pads on, Noil is ahead of Brazil.

Im a big Diarse fan. But I wouldnt call him an amazing athlete. Isnt his 40 in the 4.6-4.7 range?? Hes a better football player than he is an athlete. And, IMO, should be playing Safety. And what has he done that tells you hes an amazing athlete? Hes a good football player, but limited talent wise. Sure he was a special high school football player. But every player we sign is special in high school. Diarse is a good football player. Thats all. Hell the best true freshman WR that we have on the team right now is Kevin Spears, and you didnt even list him.

I dont know if Leslie will see the field for us. Came in with a lot of hype, but it was a lot of overblown hype. He doesnt get the playbook. Runs bad routes. He dominated in high school and JUCO strictly off of his size and speed. Cant rely on just that in the SEC. Youve got to be a polished WR to play at this level. And hes not. And only has what 1 more year left of eligibility??

Besides Landry, Quinn would be the most polished WR on the team right now. Hes the best route runner ive seen in a long time, he doesnt let the ball touch the ground, understands how to get open and sit in pockets. He requires little coaching in college. Hes 1 of the most developed WRs ive seen in high school in a long time.

By the middle of the year next season, this is what our depth chart will look like:
X: Dupre, Spears, Leslie
Y: Dural, Quinn, Diarse
Slot : Noi, ill put Brazil for you here, the rest.

They might not all start, but they will be 3 of our top 5 WRs next year.

LF isnt the only special player we have in this class this year.

And this is all assuming we land all 3 of them

And Diarse and Leslie and Avery are all good players. Dupre and Noil are on a diff level. And Quinn is coming in ready to contribute from day 1. He requires little coaching and is as polished as they can be coming out of HS.

TL

DR

Edit:

Actually did read and speedy plays like 90% qb.

I don't expect Quinn to even play next year. Diarse is an extremely good athlete.

And since when can slow not great athletes play safety??

I'm done with this. All it is is New is always better mentality.

Yall can sleep on Leslie all you want but it will be him at Dural as #1 and #2 with Quinn/Diarse/Dupre/Spears fighting for that #3 spot. Noil and Brazil will fight for the #4 WR when we go spread.

Weve got a couple of them out there right now. And did i ever say he wasnt a good athlete? No. I said he wasnt an amazing athlete.

And its not a newer is always better thing. Im not like that at all and never have been, especially when it comes to football. I just truly think that Dupre, Noil, and Quinn will be 3 of our top 5 WRs on the team next year.
