This kid is a must in this class if he can get his grades in order.

You don't speak for everyone. If our other RB targets start to get cold feet because we're paying more attention to Franklin, and then Franklin doesn't qualify, LSU will be the thinnest and least talented at RB they've been in a decade.

LSU is slow playing this kid because he has a long, long way to go in the classroom, and RB is too big of a need in this class to frick up.

Can't talk logic to the Franklin fanboys. It's been repeated in every thread about Franklin that the reason we are not pressing him is because he's not likely to qualify. Also that RB is too big a need to screw up by taking a kid with questionable qualifying ability. The Franklin obsessed don't seem to let the info sink in because the threads keep coming.

Now if people want to talk about why it seems other schools have no issues bringing in multiple top 100 or so type kids at RB, that's one I'd like to know more about because I can't seem to crack it. With our lack of depth at RB we should be able to take a chance on Franklin and not have it cost us others but we seem to short change ourselves.

I understand where they are coming from. If he had the grades, it would be a perfect situation. He's the best RB on our board that we have a good chance to get, he lives right down the road, and loves LSU. Perfect situation.. he just doesn't have the grades. If he did, it would be a no brainer.

I get why some folks can't let it go because it does suck that he probably won't make it into this class when he absolutely should have if it weren't for grades

Turnover at RB coach is what's probably hurt us the most there. Since Frank left our RB coach has only had a kid's senior year to recruit them as their position coach. It's way easier to convince a kid they're at the top of the board when you've been talking to them for three years. When you're playing catch up you almost have to sell them on being the only back taken.

Franklin will have to go Juco route no question waste of time and gas.
All out of state offers and still no commitments. It's just another offer to out of state players. LSU is going to be caught holding the bag again.

Why can't we just set him up at John Curtis High-like Saban did with Eddie Lacy -to get him qualified? If we don't, Saban and his band of mercenaries will figure out how to get him qualified.
