Laughable they have Mond as a 5*.

IMG bump, Mond was pretty bad this season throwing the football. Dude just isnt a very good QB. He can run though! I'm very happy Sumlin decided to bury his future in Kellen Mond at QB...he could have had Stidham.

I like the zip on the passes - that cuts down on opportunities for the defense to make plays - however, it comes with a cost. WRs have to get used to that quickly or we will have a case of the dropsies - something LSU receivers are somewhat infamous for over the past few years.

Reminds me of . . . Allen Risher.

Risher struggled to throw the ball 35 yards.

Wow. I love the way the ball comes out, excellent zip and clearly he could throw it a lot of yards in the air. Nice quick and tight throwing motion too. If he has great pocket awareness, he could be a really good one.

Sounds like Dak coming out.

Mond isn't some scrub. I def like the way Brennan throws the ball better, but we don't have to pretend to be stupid here. Mond is still an elite talent.

Brennan is an actual QB, the others are glorified running backs.

Love the quick release on Brennan.

Brennan sure passes the eye test. High release. Quick motion. Puts a really nice spin on the ball with a little wobble (a good thing). If as someone said he has that natural pocket awareness we could have a really good QB going forward.

Pocket presence is the most important thing in the SEC with the speed rushers. Hopefully he's able to remain calm in the pocket. Looked ok on the video we saw.

His biggest asset will be his compact throwing motion and quick release. He could kill on those screen passes and quick slants.

Qb rankings are terrible. They usually judge these kids by projecting them as being evaluated by NFL standards in 3-4 years. College and nfl success don't necessarily have the same skills or techniques.

I remember our fans talking about how poorly Myles played in his last all star game. Hopefully he does better this time around.

Brennan 's delivery is a beautiful thing. Pro scouts look to see how long the it takes for a the ball to get to a wr from the time a qbs throwing motion begins and Brennan, from what i can see in that video, doesnt have any wasted motion. You dont see him dropping the ball beneath his shoulder. You see an elongated windup at all. He has nice symmetry when he opens up and there is no windup to tip off the secondary.

I watched Harris many times in high school and will say Harris is a victim of miles terrible coaching. He had all the tools was a bit wild high early on in a few games but always got into a groove pretty quickly. The inability of lsu to get a qb has been more on coaching when you go back and look at what was being said about all of them out of high school and miles and whichever OC he had failed to improve any of them.

I agree. Harris had all the tools but struggled under pressure. The fact that he was thrown to the wolves early and shitty coaching played a role in that. It would be nice to see him improve under Canada.

bullshite. Harris has accuracy problems.
We have seen numerous qbs perform well under miles prostyle offense.
Its not on miles whe Harris cant connect on simple passes that are meant to get him in rythym.

This just is not true. Harris has zero pocket awareness and just isnt a full field progression qb. Now the staff couldve called more bunch formations to help him out but no amount of practice can help with accuracy.

What? JRuss,Flynn,Mett, and Lee all got better under Miles. The last staff had enough legit things to gripe about without adding things that just arent true. Harris doesnt have the short and intermediate accuracy to fot those ball into the small windows in the sec

Thrown to the wolves? So now Harris didnt have talent around him? The coaches didnt always put harris in a great position but Harris failed because of his inability to maneuver inside the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield and his accuracy on short and intermediate passes.
